Yep, absolutely nothing, that's what made them so superior to the League players who would be paid for playing rugby. They kept the Corinthian spirit alive, and any club found to be paying players would be thrown out of the union, just as happened to Leic...er....er....yeah...

Funny how many really well-paid groundkeepers and development staff there were at the top union clubs though, who didn't actually ever work at the grounds other than on matchday...

Did you see the game? I saw the highlights with that gurning pillock from the Everest adverts, and Newcastle looked utterly, utterly useless. It was quite funny to see one grown Newcastle fan in tears- very strange.

They show one game every Saturday afternoon here, but I was out all day so missed last weekend's.
From what I've seen of Newcastle this season so far they look like they need someone to tell them exactly what to do, a kind of onfield general. Is this Alan Tait's first job?

Of course. Union is still a sport dominated by kicking, as backed up by the scoring system. Some folk like it. Actually a lot of people like it.

The kicking does bore me, but so does your typical game of english rugby league. Piggy back up the pitch on the back of penalties then barge over the try line. NRL is great though and much better than union
