It was supposed to be a fight night according to one of the mma sites and theyve bumped it up to ufc 138....the line ups looking like a fight night card and the LG only holds around 8k (i think)
Sounds like theyve called it '138' to make it look like a significant card if you ask me.....as usual England have been thrown the scraps..
Leben v Munoz should be decent but as a co main would have suited me...also thiago Alves on the card against some swede i havent heard of.

The card for 138 is looking decent IMO. Granted, there are no star names as of yet, but the 3 announced fights so far promise fireworks. It's often cards with the "smaller" named guys that end up being the best ones, so I'm going to snap up a ticket for this I reckon, I booked my hotel yesterday when the card was announced.

Although i always bitch about the uk cards i have been to the last few apart from the one at the O2...always a good atmosphere and worth going regardless of the card... i know were your coming from and will probs try and get some tickets for this one aswell....think it might be difficult though will the capacity being so low. |

Paul Taylor vs Anthony Njokuani rumoured to be on the main card.
And just for info, the LG Arena holds 16,000 apparently, but I dont think Ticketmaster sell tickets for them, Im sure its The Ticket Factory. I could be wrong though.
P.S. Any chance Dana White will overpower Dave O Donnell and grab the Alex Reid vs Jason Barrett debarcle to add to the main card !!

Some good fights there, but I'd hope there are a few more high profile fights, as as a main card on paper, it is very low on star power. |

Concievably Hardy could fight on this card, depending his fight against Chris Lytle goes well in August. Hardy said on Twitter yesterday that if he comes out unscathed against Lytle he'd love to fight on the card.

Is this a fact because id read on another site it was 8k???Never been so im not sure! Hope it is 16,000..will make it alot easier for tickets.
Does anyone know were the LG is? I went to the nia for ufc 89 which is in a good location for hotels,bars,restaraunts etc but dont remember the LG being in that area??

Basically compared boxing to the UFC (Well MMA as everyone pointed out to the presenters).
Gough watched a clip of the Pat Barry vs Cheick Kongo fight and wasnt impressed the way they allowed to punch in the face when the opponent was clearly on the floor and out cold. Called the sport barbaric etc....
A few callers came on (including amateur fighter Paul Goddard) to set the record straight about the controls etc... |

Dan Henderson vs Fedor Eliminenko at the weekend, would love Henderson to bang him and retire the overrated Russian !!
Then the week after, the shamobilc event which is Jason Barrett vs Alex Reid. Barrett been touring the cafes and restaurants looking to call out Reid and its worked. Sadly Reid will hammer him back to the hole he crawled out from, but Barrett got what he wanted, some exposure.
