Just started a game with QPR.

Got a 9 million transfer budget and top half is my goal. Im gonn put half the squad n the transfer list to see which players i can get in.

Failed to win promotion with Forrest so left by "mutual consent" and a promise to not let the door hit me on the way out.

After a few months cooling my heels and doing the occasional book signing and punditry work I was offered the Roma job. I took over with 3 months of the season remain, little hope of doing anything as the team was fueding and fighting and was mid table and out of the champs league and italian cup. I came in, and managed to turn it round to a respectable 4th place finish.

The following year was better, a semi in the champs league, 2nd place in serie A and an italian cup win. My third year saw us crownd champs and a retaining the italian cup. however, we lost 3-1 in the champs league final against real madrid which was the only real blip on another wise great season.

How we all getting on? after time out from game, I'm only in April 2010 but the premier league looks signed and sealed as i have not lost and about to go into quarter final with Real Madrid for Champions League.

I also a few days before beginning of season sold half my backline including Ferdinand, vidic and Evra!

When I left my game on my old PC I was 3rd in the Conference with Stevenage and 1 point behind the leaders.

Install it on my laptop and add the 9.03 update and now i'm struggling in 14th

Started as Hull, 14th after 9 games with 11 points.

I was playing as Bradford City, got them into the championship from League 2 within 3 years and told the board I'd be safe from relegation. A few big offers from clubs higher up the table unsettled almost half the team to which they were starting to lose confidence in me so I resigned.

I was then approached by Leicester city who were bottom of the Championship with 10 games left. I managed to drag them out and finished in 17th.

I then told the board I'd aim for the playoffs, to which they gave me 2 million to spend on players (poor for a championship club). Managed to get some cracking players in on the cheap who've taken me to an automatic promotion spot and then beat Ipswich on the final day of the season, 4-2 to overtake them into 1st.

So now I'm in the premiership (haven't started yet as I'm still in the summer screens where it takes forever) and Leicester have a debt of 700k.

Looks like the premiership is going to be a huge slog but nevermind, I'll clear some players out who are championship level and not capable of the premiership and hopefully I'll end up with some funds.

I'm still on 08 and have taken Accrington up from L2 in my second season. Have had all of 2k to spend over the summer. I've won 1 out of 5 in L1 so far, losing the other 4. I've got some good players in on loan, but my own players are pretty much to a man - garbage in this division. I'll struggle to stay up this season I think.

Right, got a question here that may turn out to be daft, but here goes:

Registered the Football manager disk on the laptop back in October/November time.

Now though, we have two different Laptops. Could we regsiter that Disk on one of those Laptops, or will we have to purchase a new Football Manager disk (or just not play on it)?

I started a game as the almighty Dover Athletic (they were promoted at end of first season into blue square south) and having been promoted in our first season and getting a mid-table finish and FA trophy final win in the second we're now looking good in 2nd place coming into November.

Drogba at Seville on mine.
Vagner Love at Chelsea and Palacios at Madrid are the other major changes.
Benitez was sacked from Liverpool, some Spanish guy went there, he got sacked and now Benitez is back there.

Drogba went to a Spanish club first IIRC, then to Arsenal.

Trying to remember some more of the transfers in the game, although I know that Vialli is the manager of the Wellington Phoenix and thanks to him the NZ national team has a few dutchmen now

Anyone know any cheap (preferably foreign) youngsters who may wish to ply their trade in the SPL?
