Been running well and is dropped 1lb for the last race I remember something beening said like it wouldn't act as well on that track last time (Goodwood) and it didn't but still came 5th though, at Sandown its come 1st twice 2nd once 3rd once and a 7th taken a chance.

Backing Seta now, only with a tenner at 17/5 on Betfair. Hoping the shoe coming off Decorative will have put her off.

Seta had to hit the front a bit too far out and idled terrible in front, Dettori finished fast on Long Lashes but Guillambert managed to finish the job. By the smallest of distances! Any minimal distance further and Frankie may have had it.

Seta was apparently layed at 1/12 in running.

Yep Tashqeel should have won - beaten a head today, hammered from 4/1 in the morning into 11/8ish at the off.

Ducked the last race. After only one run Native Khan looked too short for me, but he done it nicely in the end.

Meow won at the Curragh. The commentators weren't wanting any of it before the race saying they would take it on, at odds on it put me off parting with money.

Wish I'd had the balls to back Native Khan and Meow, as well as the only bet I've had, Seta.

Element of surprise may have been lost now though (for next time).

Time after more likely IMO or a hefty break until September/October time when this episode will have been erased from most memories.

Just had a decent lay on a horse at Newton Abbott, second fave, the favourite hacked up and was easy money.

On a personal note, pleased with myself, as I keep a record of all my horse backs and lays and I am now in an overall profit for the first time since the end of June

Would be doing well if it wasn't for a reckless - and terrible - May. Chester is a terrible track for me, and I was off for my birthday during the Chester meeting, you can guess the rest. Even after lumping on Harbinger on the Friday of it, I was still terribly down for the week.

Going to keep this record that I have so that I can see next year when I tend to do well, and think of the reasons behind it, form settling down, better ground etc.
