Hutton has has one good year. He will be replaced by Whittaker who has had three good years. Simple really. Hutton was not worth £9 million and Rangers knew that.

Also, Rangers do not need Hutton in order to win the title and if you reckon that is the case then you are more deluded than I thought. Rangers will win the league because their main rivals insist on playing toilet like Naylor, Vennegoor of Hesselinck, Brown, Sno and Caldwell.

If only now Rangers could get rid of Daniel Coos'-ar$e then then will be sorted. (as long as they do not use the money to buy Robson)

They will still be in Europe after Celtic are out and they made plenty from the group stages.

Also, what have Celtic spent their Champions League money on? Loan signings? Freebies from the J League? Or servicing a similar debt that Rangers have sold Hutton to service on the other side of Glasgow?

I wouldn't call Lee Naylor or Scott Brown toilet infact they would both walk into the Rangers team IMO.
Jan Vennegor of Hesselink,Maciej Zurawski & Chris Killen are all decent strikers but once again IMO aren't good enough to be playing for Celtic and our Attacking options are letting us down, I think we are a Striker and a Centre Back away from being at the top of the tree.

It has been reported this morning that Celtic have won the race to sign Dundee United captain Barry Robson in a 1.25M deal i can't say i'm overly impressed with the deal personally.

More impressed than Mystic Eddie will be.

To be honest, I will not be too bothered if he does go TBH. After all, we got him for 50 grand and will make a tasty profit. He is also the highest earner at the club and the money we save in his wages should allow Levein to strengthen more in the summer.

I would rather he stayed but I would not be devastated if he went. He deserves a bigger club than Dundee United TBH

Sasha Distel is better than Lee Naylor, never mind Sasa Papac! And I would personally rather have Thomson and Ferguson than Brown.

As for your Robson point? He is currently one of the best performing players in the SPL, the secong highest goal scorer in the competition (from midfield) and will be an excellent signing for anyone. I can assure you he will be better than you suggest, assuming of course the deal goes through.

As I write, The Arabs and Sellick have agreed a deal and Robson is on his way to the piggery for a medical. Apparently the deal is £1.25 million plus young player Jim O Brien.

Caley Thistle will be happy cos they get a 10% cut of any deal so they will net a cool £125 grand for Robson.

Given the Aberdeen fans, like many more up here reckon that we were a one man team in Robson and therefore since his move we were nothing, then you might be more right than you think.

I was surprised at that win. A good day at Hampden in store then.

Celtic were very lucky, Aderdeen deserved the win. Hopefully we can do Hibs today, will be tricky though. Smith has rested quite a few.

Don't agree with that at all we dominated the match apart from a 10/15 minute period when Aberdeen got there goal, only the woodwork and a teriffic performance from Derek Soutar prevented Celtic from a comfortable victory.
