| No I only have a quick look now and again on it, I don't use betfair as much as I use too do.
In work and will miss all the action going to watch it "as live" this evening.
Fingers crossed

[uAscot Gold Cup[/u
Bannaby - Some on here may remember I was raving about this horse for the Gold Cup last year, alas he picked up a small injury a couple of weeks before the race and didn't run and he's had a low key prepartion for the racet his year. Trained in Spain by top trainer Mauricio Delcher-Sanchez (record in Group 1's 3 from 4) he won the Group 1 Prix Du Cadran on Arc weekend in 2008, the only other Group 1 in Europe run over the Gold Cup distance of 2 1/2m. He then went on to finish a 2 length 4th to Yeats in a 2m Group 1 later that October. He was lightly raced in 2009 running over 14-16f in group and listed races having previously won a 10f conditions race in Madrid by 4 lengths. Generally speaking he runs on well in his races over too short a distance and was successful in his prep race over 1m 7f at Madrid last month - he's a class apart in Spain and contested a listed race at Saint-Cloud over 2m when finishing runner-up to Blek (good form ties in with Kite Wood - allowed an easy lead LTO and Kasbah Bliss). Bannaby beat Kasbah Bliss in the 2008 Cadran and the only reason he's as big as he is is because he's trained in Spain. IMO the further he goes the better he is.
Advice: Bannaby 3pts win, 1pt place @ 33/1 (Skybet/Boylesports)'"
Sorry lads - looked to be cruising coming into the straight, fourth in the end

| Another nice win for Dandino. Would've had two winners today, had to wait for the last two though.
Pleased with the Bannaby tip even though it was fourth, got a nice run for my only bet of the meeting so far, two quid . Thought coming for home he was going to get it.

| Another monster e/w bet on London Stripe and like yesterdays equally mahussive bet on twice over it came 2nd, I cant argue fully as I recouped my money back and a bit of profit, but couldn't one have won.
Decent return from King Of Reason, whilst Principal role and Dinkum Diamond was dissapointing.
Still up for the 3rd day in a row

| Rite of Passage for Dermot Weld. Aidan O'Brien's Age of Aquarious battled admirably but was always just held in second to complete an Irish-trained forecast. Best of the home team was Luca Cumani's Purple Moon slightly back in third. Next, some distance back, was the horse that got the imagination of most of the punters on here, Spanish trained Bannaby. 2nd fave Ask was next behind Bannaby, while the jolly Manifest only beat a couple home.
1st Rite of Passage; Aged 6; Weight 9-2; Dermot Weld; Pat Smullen - 20/1
2nd Age of Aquarius; Aged 4; Weight 9-0; Aiden O'Brien; Johnny Murtagh - 8/1 - btn by: nk
3rd Purple Moon; Aged 7; Weight 9-2; Luca Cumani; Kieren Fallon - 12/1 - btn by 6L
----------------
4th Bannaby; Aged 7; Weight 9-2; Mauricio Delcher Sanchez; Christophe Soumillon - 20/1 - btn by 13L
5th Ask; Aged 7; Weight 9-2; Sir Michael Stoute; Ryan Moore - 11/4F - btn by 11L
Lots of 'good' horses, but we haven't got another Yeats . Suppose Yeats just had that aura about him though and gave this race added meaning. The winner could maybe win it again next year if he doesn't run too much over obstacles in the winter, would make sense to save him for this big pot again instead of running him on slogging ground.
Still, Yeats was an outstanding horse and don't get many like him so perhaps thats flawing my opinion of the runners.

Tipped last night my friend
Feels like I've slapped myself in the face though, watching it win so well and not having a gamble. Whats up with me? Only had one bet on Ascot so far FFS! Two quid on Bannaby purely because it was the Gold Cup!

Its not a case of that, going on holiday in a three weeks so need all of my bills to go out before I know how much spending money I'm gonna have, then I can take that out, and then be left with some betting money. Should've already sorted my spending money but last minute is better than nothing at all. Will be away for the Newmarket July Meeting so hopefully win a few quid on that while I'm away.
Certainly had far more 'winners' so far this week than I backed at Cheltenham!

| Golden Jubilee Stakes on Saturday.
I am going for Carl O'Callaghan US horse Kinsale King 10/1 E/W
Fallon gets the ride which many wanted to have and he went over to New York for its final bit of serious work, its won its last 4 races including a Grade 3 at Hollywood park, the Grade 2 Palos Verdes handicap at Santa Anita and the being the Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen at Meydan beating the Aussies hotpot Rocket Man who from 12 races has won 9 and been 2nd three times

I'm the opposite - carnage for me this week
Not a lot let to bet with for Fri and Sat - though that's probably a good thing the stuff I've been backing.

Still a fine tipping effort and finished in front of a number of decent animals notably Ask, Kasbah Bliss, Kite Wood and Manifest.
