Sad thing is, the hype got in the way of reality....This was always going to happen.....He's been scared for all of his career....As I said previously, there was absolutely no chance he was ever going to win this fight.....Sadly, all it does is stain Haye's reputation having to take part in farces like this.

| 25,000 people singing 'You're $hit and you know you are' as your walking off defeated.
He's being interviewed now:
"I didnt get chance to get going".
"Felt I could continue".
"I beat the count".
Still won't admit he ain't no good.

Probably 4 ish.....Sky's scheduling is 2 - 5, so 4am seems a safe prediction.

| Fraudley Harrison = Bum
He should have his purse withheld for that "effort".
Your fighting for the Heavyweight Championship the World, one of the greatest titles in Sport, why would you not even bother to throw punches.
Never has that chant at the end of the fight been more appropriately used.

| Having seen Ali fight 15 rounds with a broken jaw vs Norton, Tyson for all the stick he has got brave it out vs Lewis, Holyfield and Douglas, Bruno for that matter tough it out vs Witherspoon, Lewis, Holyfield Bowe 1,2 &3 you would think The A force would go out on his shield, test the guy 3 stone smaller... I mean, If I fought someone 8 stone... yes if they were class I would prob lose, but I would have certainly given them my moneys worth, even if it was Humberto Gonzalez or whoever... but the fact is, the difference between them when they entered the ring was dramatic, Audley looked like he was terrified, face full of worry, Haye, was relaxed and looked like a champion.. fact is, he can talk the talk but he's beyond anything else, full of confidence in the pre fight but when push comes to shove he was found beyond wanting... boxing isnt for him outside the amatuers, it shows the gulf between them, how the amatuer system fails the pros, he turned pro too late, wasnt able to make the changes between the two and should have cut his losses earlier. I am glad he wasnt badly hurt, he certainly made sure he wasnt, as soon as he went down I knew he wouldnt fight back, its not in his nature. Boxing in the pro's seems to have taken its toll on his confidence and legacy, it must be hard being in the limelight, but the talk of being british champ in so many fights and being world class was simply making up for the deficit in his mental make up, Audley, go do something else, be a promoter, be a commentator, but don't try and be something you're not, you are not a world class boxer, I stayed up to watch you win the O and was proud but people like Lennox, Tyson, Liston, Ali, Patterson, Holmes, Holyfield were cut from different cloth, know what you're good at and focus on that.

| For example, check out Larry Holmes vs Tim Witherspoon on the tube... Witherspoon lost a 15 round decision being only a 15 fight novice... compare if you dare! Tonights fight doesnt come close, thats not just me with rose tinted glasses on, judge for yourself!

| I'm afraid only Harrison has himself to blame for the situation he finds himself in.
When the dust settles after a fighter has retired after a defeat, fight fans and the general public look back and have respect for someone who was world champion or fought for the title in such a tough sport but I'm afraid all Fraudley has done is spout bollox for 10 years and failed to deliver - and people won't tolerate it.
Even if he'd have had a dig last night and got knocked out, at least he would have been remembered for having some courage and having a go but that pitiful effort was a disgrace and he deserves to have his purse with-held.
As Barry McGuigan said last night, the guy is delusional and really needs to wake up and smell the coffee...

| Surely Harrison will retire now. It wasn't his destiny to win the title and that's the way it goes. I'm glad I didn't waste £14.95 on the fight now.

Quite brilliant performance against someone so much bigger and heavier.
Would he beat Floyd Mayweather or would that end up being a dull affair with Floyd covering up and frustrating all the time?

It shouldn't , It should have been stopped imo. Pacquaio's speed and accuracy made Mararita look pedestrian.

| I thought the ref was right to let it go on.
Mararita was injured, but the injury wasn't getting any worse. There never really looked to be any point in the fight where Mararita was really in danger of suffering from not being able to defend himself. So IMO the ref was right to allow Mararita a puncher's chance of taking the fight.

| Frank Bruno and some other pundits tipped Harrison last night
Haye caught Fraudley with a couple of nice right hands, but IMO he couldn't find the floor quick enough once Haye opened up. There was no clean ones in the flurry that sent him down, I know he was wobbled but I think he almost took a dive. Went out too late to see the Groves fight, have read the reports, opinions anyone who watched it?
