Not certain, but I think Hillsborough just gets 40k in. As mentioned before, you can have 2 stadiums in 1 city, so that's another one in as well, probably the Emirates.

My understanding is that the World Cup has to be in twelve different cities, although Lord Percy disagrees, so I stand to be corrected on this.
UEFA have no such policy for the Euros.
The World Cup (again, I think) requires four 60,000 capacity stadiums and eight 40,000 ones.

I can't see that ground meeting with requirements actually. It's more than a bit of a dump and has about 5,000 restricted views, which would no longer be acceptable.
I reckon the FA would order almost a complete re-build for it to be utilised.

Why??
Do people believe everything they read in the f*cking media??
There are still questions over South Africas abilty to host the 2010 World Cup, they don't as of yet have the infrastructure. The public transport available to be able to handle the thousands of visitors, not to mention the stadiums being ready. Not forgetting safety, 10 fans were recently killed at a qualifier in SA. Also, not liking the fact that the cheapest seats will only be available to SA residents, with the other categories being available worldwide. Be more touting go on than usual.
England, Australia and America are on standby if SA do hit major problems in their preperation. I do think they will be ready, but be plagued with problems throughout the tournament.

My understanding is that FIFA will allow one city to host two venues. For instance, London could stage matches at Wembley and the Emirates, but the rest of the country could only have one venue per city.
At France '98, even though the Stade de France was known as "St Denis", it was still considered to be in Paris along with the Parc des Princes.
Likewise, Sydney could have the Olympic Stadium and Aussie Stadium for example, but then Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and the rest would be left with one venue each.

You don't.
Iirc, at the moment you have a 60k+ stadium in Sydney and also one in Melbourne. I'm guessing then that Melbourne would be the city that has 2 stadia in, meaning that Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth would each have a 40k+ stadium. I dont know about Adelaide so I won't comment on it. There would need to be a hell of a lot of stadia building

Have you ignored the 'one city one stadium' rule then? Only one city can have 2 stadia used, the other stadia must be situated in a different city each

In 2018:
Wembley 90,000+
Olympic Stadium 80,000 (correct me if wrong)
Old Trafford 75,000
Erimates 65,000
New Liverpool ground 60,000
New Everton ground 55,000
St James Park 50,000
Villa Park 42,000
Stamford Bridge 42,000
White Hart Lane 40,000
There is ten 40k plus stadiums there. Plus the 2018 cup will be in Europe.
