| Why are United so hung up on Sneijder? There are tons of midfielders about, like Hamsik, Gourcuff and Pastore who recently moved to A Madrid.
Oh and Nasri who looks set to move to City kicking and screaming and holding his arms up in the direction of Old Trafford.

So what? Those particular types of stats can be massively skewed. What if he played in the "big" games but was injured/rested for the easier (sic) games?? I'm not having a go mate i'm just saying that they always show these stats on SSN as if it goes to prove that team X actually wouldn't be that bad if they lost player Y. Dumbing down?? Sky Sports?? Never!!

Maybe because he's more proven than all of those mentioned at both international and CL level?? I like Gourcuff a lot but whether he'd be suited to the English game I don't know.
Don't know enough about Hamsik or Pastore (who I thought had gone to PSG??) but I know that they haven't played in World Cup and CL finals.

| Big pressure on Liverpool tomorrow to get a result against a severely weakened Arsenal side. I'm struggling to pick a team for Arsenal without changing shape and I'm sure Wenger won't do that. We still have to turn up and get a result though and it certainly isn't a foregone conclusion, certainly when they're attack contains Van Persie and if Walcott turns up.
Looking forward to the United v Tottenham game on Monday night as well. What a luxury to lose three first choice defenders and still throw Fabio, Smalling and Jones in. Vidic out for 5 weeks by the looks of it so these two should get a good run together.

| While at Sid James Park you could hear a pin drop, such is the current level of transfer activity.
Good striker to put with Ba and a reliable left back need to be signed up fast, or I will be very sceptical about our chances of building on last year.

| Right, I've just bitten the bullet and bought 2 tickets for City's match at Tottenham next Sunday - for a full sporting weekend.
I'm taking my 7 yr old son for his first taste of an "away day".
Can anyone tell me how hostile I can expect it inside the ground?

There's only 2 spots left as Rovers are nailed on for the bottom of the league as long as Kean is the manager.

It's not looking good. Normally with Everton you can see the spirit and the fight. I'm not sure anyone there believes any more from Kenwright to Moyes to the players. Says something when the manager's big pre season press conference sees him state how hard he thinks it will be to compete.
Wtf was he playing at leaving Saha on the bench at home to QPR. Pathetic really.

| Interesting stat! Although not surprising completely as Everton did struggle in the early Premiership years.

Should be a few empty seats in the away end so will be able to move away from any trouble.

It's the same story with your lot every year and you all know it. You struggle (maybe a ploy by the players to make Kenwright sign someone as he's worried?), everybody gets worried that this is the year you'll finally fall flat on your faces, then, after a few months (and plenty of injuries) you kick on and finish top 8.
Might be bad for Everton now, but Rodwell and Barkley are good prospects who'll bring them in big fees if they kick on and woo suitors.

| It is interesting that it has taken this long for the true extent of Everton's finances to come to light. Even now, what has been revealed, doesn't quite tie-in with what I was told nearly two years ago. The majority of Everton's debt is owed to Philip Green, not the banks. This is the reason why they have never been able to attract investors, as soon as they look at the books there is a proviso that all monies owed to Green will be paid in full, should Kenwright leave. The extent of the debt is greater than the £45 million being reported, too.

| Do Everton still need Arteta? Gonna probably be highest earner, could get £10mil plus, and I'd say CM is probably their strongest area especially with the talent this Barkley is showing.
Give £5mil to the bank, spend £5mil on a striker.

Not surprised as it is £53 per ticket plus there are no trains in the morning (game kicks off at lunchtime).
Taking into account the costs, I could travel up to the Etihad and watch a game for a similar amount.

The reverse is true in my experience. The stewards don't want you to stand but I have not found them aggressive. Meanwhile Spurs fans are aggressive towards away fans.
The worst thing about WHL for away fans is that they do not serve beer at HT. Why?
