If you think about it he has never really been asked to go win a game, at the Patriots he just got asked to make no mistakes and did well because of the supporting cast, in his first Chiefs season he was basically treated like a rookie and now in his second the running game has developed so he is in the position again where he doesn't have to do much, it's hardly his fault and when he has had to get some TD's he has done it well, of course they didn't have a very hard schedule so doing it consistently will be hard the same as it is for every QB, no one is expecting him to become the best QB in the league just to make some throws when he has to!

People are getting this Cassel thing wrong. I don't think many are doubting that he isn't top draw, he isn't even worthy of a pro bowl selection. The argument is that he isn't the worst QB in the league, which is what Conroy said many moons ago. Which he isn't. So now and again people post little friendly pops to remind him of another of his wrong statements.

Is it the one with Jake Locker at 17? that is possibly the worst mock I've ever seen (including that idiot Kiper having the Pats taking RB Leshoure with the 2nd first rounder).

I'm expecting one or both first rounders to be traded, if not it will probably go on a 3-4 DE (Dareus would be perfect) and a guard or OLB with the 2nd (Mike Pouncey to play guard would be fine by me).

The old Patriots thing of stockpiling draft picks in the middle of the draft - damn good strategy. I wonder when the last time a Patriots high draft pick was a bust ?

But there have been some fantastic first/second round pick ups under BB to counter the Chad Jacksons of the world. Jerod Mayo was a result of trading for a high pick, then trading that pick down...then back up



The way it works is, BB did economics at college so he goes for value, if a player is available at say #22, but he projects will still be on the board early in the second round, he will trade down and gain an extra pick (this is how the 09 draft added Butler, Chung and Brace at the top of the second round) I can't believe more teams don't do it tbh.
