I expect more from Chris Waddle than all this whinging. Hines is elbowed off the ball and gets a penalty. There is always far more deliberation about proper dives. Then a penalty is taken after a slip and just because the scousers are complaining about it he is moaning about two touches - even though a number of camera angles fail to show a second touch of the ball.

Academic. No foul PKs have been taken today. One particular camera angle shows the leg suspected to have touched the ball first completely missed.

We played pretty well today, passed it about pretty well and created a few chances/semi chances, thought Mascherano was much better today but Kuyt was disastrous. Glad he was subbed, was just as shocked as I was glad.

Better performance today, centre backs were sloppy again and we need to sort out the near post defending on set plays, considering we're so bad at them, you'd think we'd be trying really hard but we continually fall asleep.

Theres very little prestige in it - City reached the QFs in the competitions predecessor last year but you would have been hard pressed to read about it.

Its purely a burden and there cannot be any decent return financially - not that that matters anyway at City anymore.
