I thought Hull looked pretty useful last night but the fixture list is a tough one, with the last game one that you definitely wouldn't want to go to needing three points.

wonder if the hull city players fully realise what they are on the verge of? ever since i was old enough to know about football it has been rammed home that hull is the largest city in europe not to have top flight football, and indeed is often used as yet another stick to beat the place with.
whether they stay or are released the players that win promotion for city will be forever remembered as heroes - it will be their finest achievement in their careers

good lord if you think its tight at the top just look at the bottom. last year hull survived with 50 points - this year it could take 53 or more. there's still about 7 teams down there who will be worrying. i'm not at all convinced about southampton, and they have the worst goal difference
