I recall the season starting last year and realising very quickly it was dumbed down quality wise, especially with forwards. Rooney took his World Cup into the season with him, Torres was injured etc. I like to watch quality forwards, in games as a neutral I want to watch their movement, touch, taking on defenders etc, they're the main draw. After one weekend of the season, I can see Rooney, Torres, Suarez, Aguero, RVP are in good nick/and/or are quality, so I think it'll make for a better spectacle of the season.

The league always seems more exciting when there's lethal strikers around. Aguero had that about him on Monday, something special.

I wasn't surprised when I saw it was a red card as this is Spain we're talking about. La Liga referees are more 'sensitive' than their English cousins. It was late on in the game and Fàbregas was going nowhere. Good old Sky Sports news described it as 'a horror tackle on Fabregas'.
