Just from a Packers point of view it is ridiculous Rodgers never made the pro-bowl. Equally Woodson was selected when Tramon Williams has been better and how Chad Clifton has been selected i'll never know. If any Packers lineman should go it should be Josh Sitton.

It's just a popularity contest that isn't popular anymore, the reason they have moved it to before the SB is because more people will be interested in watching it because theres still a game after it, I wouldn't watch it if it was still after the SB because it's basically a payed vacation for the players and not even upto the standard of most preseason games. With it filling in the week between the championship games and SB I will watch it because it passes the time and gives my an nfl "fix".

I don't know how many votes have been polled this year but I wouldn't be suprised if it has been dropping year on year.

Having said that Cassell is a lot better statistically this year than a lot of others and that's why he was so high on the voting

This year Matt Cassell had the 4th most passing TD's in the AFC and 3rd least INT's in the AFC and they are the first stats people look at aswell as how many wins the players team had therefore he deserves his place in the team

I'd be interested to see a stat for Cassel and his passing when he's had to actively win the game. He's had a good season no doubting it. But he certainly isn't a top QB and to use a call up to the Pro Bowl as evidence of him suddenly being one is daft. He has ridden a superb running game all season long. Look at the stats he posted up in the playoffs when the Ravens shut the running game down.

Heard a stat you'd like last night. Against the Falcons he had a free defender rushing him 15 times. He was 12-15 for 148 yards and 2 TD's. Great stuff.

Cassell is terrible. He is behind probably the best running game in the league and his stats are inflated (in terms of TD versus INT) because he checks it down consistently.

When the game had to be put on his shoulders he crumbled.

Well you think he's had a good enough season to make a Pro Bowl regardless of the daft voting system or not. Surely that means you think he's been in the upper echelon of QB's this season making him a top QB at least for this season in your eyes surely? He's had a good year but he's put up no real yardage (less than 200 yards a game) and has had the luxury of a running game softening coverage up for him. When the running game hasn't worked Cassel has struggled.

Cassel is the franchise QB. Thigpen, Smith and Anderson clearly aren't. I think Miami thought Henne could be but he's been a major flop. I personally think there are a lot of QB's out there I would prefer to Matt Cassel. Don't see why there is such a major reaction to this opinion to be honest.

I read my first mock draft for next season yesterday. Noticed it had the Pats taking a QB in the first. Is Brady looking to call it a day soon?

He signed a 4 year contact with a lot of money and is still playing at a high level so I would suggest that it's probably just the "experts" getting it wrong as usual, it wouldn't suprise me if we drafted one in a later round incase Brady is unable to start the season with his foot injury that would back-up Hoyer and maybe become a project QB for after Brady Retires.

Your right though his future seasons will show how good he is/isn't, to judge his career by the 2 years's he's had as a franchise QB is just stupid

I think I will be proved to be right yes. The guy can't win games without a running game. If Charles goes down hurt early next season it could be a very ugly season for Cassel.
