Carrick was constantly pointing to other players for them to receive the ball when it was clear to see he was in space, he didn't want it IMO. Also, when ever there was a 50/50 ball and you wanted him to slide in for it to have half a chance of getting it, he bottled it. As for Giggs and Anderson, hardly even noticed them.

Something i noticed about Ronaldo was at the end of the game, Barca formed a tunnel at the bottom of the steps, and a fair few of the United players went round the side of the tunnel (Still shaking the Barca players hands at that side of the tunnel), but Ronaldo went down the middle shaking and congratulating the Barca players. People call Ronaldo for poor sportsmanship, but i thought that was nice gesture, because at the end of the day, they were the better team on the night.

Agree Ronaldo was gracious in defeat. He was also the one United player that troubled Barca's second string defence, albeit fleetingly. What happened to Rooney tonight? He went MIA like in last years final I felt.

I disagree with the bit about Ronaldo been the most dangerous player, tbh. I thought when Rooney had the ball he looked dangerous, especially when he put one or two crosses in, but lets face it, no-one really looked dangerous, especially after the first 10 minutes.

Rooney was absolutely anonymous as was Ronaldo after the opening 10 minutes. Every single United player was outclassed by a superior technical outfit.

The winners of the CL might rake in that much (don't know anything about the euro to pound exchange rate) but the losing finalists make very close to that as well. There's very, very little financial difference between winning it and losing.

As i've said. United were out played, but i thought Rooney looked OK, in the odd spell, but that wasn't much. He put one or two decent balls into the box, but that was it. Didn't do enough, but no-one did. The centre of midfield was pretty shocking. Carrick didn't want the ball and looked scared of making a challenge, while Giggs and Anderson might as well have sat on the side.

I don't think Rooney and Ronaldo did much today. They worked hard with what they had, but what they had was so little there wasn't much they could do.

I'll put it this way. Barcelona would take Rooney and Ronaldo without doubt. So would the scousers, so would we. Practically every club in the world would kill to have them. Just because they didn't perform tonight doesn't negate that they are fantastic football players.
