TBF I rate Taylor, even Ferdinand and Vidic had "Bramble-esque" moments last season, and fook me they were vital...

You'll be playing like Stoke next year, Olofinjana has a fooking beast of a throw.
I'm very surprised Stoke have let him go to a side that they will be battling with down at the bottom.

| Tosic and Valencia have looked good so far versus Valencia, some good running and crossing from both, and Owen has been unlucky with a few chances.
David Villa has had a few good efforts as well, he'd look awesome in United Red.
EDIT: Valencia has had an awesome second half, two fantastic crosses and United score twice.
Valencia CF have had to bring their reserve goalkeeper on outfield due to injury.

Believe it or not, I've just got back from the Valencia game. I got a free ticket so I thought I'd go and watch, Valencia are one of my favourite sides outside of England so I won't get many chances to see them, especially for free!
Anyway, David Silva looked very good, passing was classy and his movement and link up play was first class.
One or two others impressed me from Valencia but I didn't know their names so when I find out, I'll give my expert view

Owen had three decent chances, especially the first one from the Rooney pass. Valencia looked very good, no Brown or Vidic for the CS on Sunday.

| the man utd v valencia game was actually very good! quick skillful and an open game. rooney should have scored from a valencia(the player) cross early on and owen had four good chances(he should have scored at least two of them) valencia could easily of had two 1st half goals hitting the bar(that would have been some goal!!) and then fluffing a free header inside the 6yrd box valencia made all of their allowed TEN subs at half-time and then early in the 2nd half a player had to come off and(as stated in an above post) the sub goalie came on to play in midfield stand out players:
rooney- utterly world class player
carrick- picked up where he left off last season very consistent
richie de laet(belgian youngster i think?) played right back and was very good. especially going forward!
antonio valencia- had a cracking game! quick and strong and will get better as season goes on. set up rooney with a quality cross
tom cleverly- another youngster that looked confident. very cool finish
foster and cushak(sp) got a half each. foster did'nt really have owt to do cushak made a superb save early on in the 2nd half
owen- ran great angles as always clever front man. once he gains more match fitness and gets his sharpness back he will without doubt score goals for man utd!

I expect these three to be regarded as 'world class' by Red Cafe before the end of the week. Valencia is probably regarded as 'world class' already by the posters on that forum.
On teh subject of Van Der Saar: I think he;'s going to be a huge miss for United. Foster and Kuszcack (sp?) are simply not good enough for a team who will be looking to win the league. They are decent enough back-ups but 2 / 3 months is a long time.

I wouldn't disagree with that. The main issues I have with him is that he's made of glass, too much of a show pony and lacks work-rate.

He's right though. If we had kept Samaras we wouldn't need to have signed Adebayor, Santa Cruz and Tevez.
How good was the inter-play between Ireland, Robinho and Adebayor look last night? I know it's early but we need to stop trying to be like Arsenal - i.e. trying to walk the ball into the net.
Shame we can't sya the same about Toure, Given, Dunne and TBH! I sincerely hope that Dunne and TBH do not get further than the bench this season. Actually, I would prefer it if TBH didn't even come to the ground. I have seen some dross, believe me, but he is truly awful.

Stop believing everything you read in the tabloids and hear on the White Van Man radio station. If you watched him play, you would have a different opinion.
He scored 15 goals last season....from the wing. And produced a similar number in terms of assists. I would imagine that only two or three players had a better goal and assist ratio. Not bad for the first season in the Prem.
Robihno is far, far better than Aquillani.

Looks like 3-2 could be a recurring scoreline for City, at least in the early part of the season.

We'll see.
That's the first time that back four have played together.
If we get Lescott, I would start with Lescott (left-side) and Toure (right-side) at centre half, with Bridge and Zabaleta in the full-back positions. With Onouha as second choice centre-half.

Robinho is poor in the Premiership. His not lightweight just very lazy and soft! Never puts a foot in and never chases back (well he does but then stops).
He is the most dissapointing player i have seen in the Premiership along side Veron.
BTW. it's not taken City fans long to slate such signings as Aquilani for Liverpool. It was only over a year ago that you wouldof had 'no' chance to sign such a quality player. Money goes straight to peoples head.
