Englands (football) next loss in a competitive fixture. 11/8 for the group, but 25/1 to not lose and win the Final of the world cup. Now The odds for England to win the world cup is far shorter than 25/1, so if you're confident that England wont lose in the group stage and fancy them to win the World cup final, then that's a decent bet. Also its around 20/1 for them to get to the final and lose and semi final is around 15/1 I think.


Wimbledon is nearly here, and Nadal is 3/1 (and so is Murray). federer is 11/10, so wouldn't touch that as yet, but surely Nadals odds will only plumit, presuming he can get to the 2nd week without any upsets.

Not a weekend to go betting mad as no one is quite sure the effect the International will have. On a normal week Quins would be bigger odds so the bookies have reacted but if they have reacted enough remains to be seen.

Not the best start with Broad Cairn dropping away inside the final furlong. They went too slow early and I was surprised that Steve Drowne didn't elect to take it on earlier as the last thing he wanted was the last furlong being a sprint after an early dawdle (Broad Cairn won over a mile last time).

I've put the two bigger priced ones in with the remaining three and gone in with an each-way Lucky 31.
