Never understood the requirement to have a camera/microphone shoved in their face straight after the final whistle. You are never going to get objectivity at the point, if ever. Why makes the TV companies much more important than the press conference types?

I guess it's all about capturing emotions? I think it's sometimes a little rude and quite forceful, but if my team's just had an emotional victory, or played in an exciting game, I like hearing the manager straight after it as long as he's talking about the game in general. When the press start asking about isolated incidents knowing full well they haven't seen any/many replays, it becomes a bit farcical and unfair. If they don't answer, they're being grumpy and rude, if they do answer incorrectly, they're blind, deluded and idiots.

For me, it should be a simple quick summary of the game, a couple of tactical questions and any questions regarding injuries. As soon as they start talking about cards, non-decisions and mistakes, it plummets.

It was a fabulous finish to be fair. I'm not sure how deliberate the quality of the touch with the shoulder was, rather than luck, but as a former winger I can respect how hard it is to control a ball like that. The finish was superb.

Coloccini had a brain explosion. There was no significant contact with the leg he went for, Suarez had already started his jump and spin before he impacted on him and if there was any contact it was a glancing blow before he brushed his other foot. But you know what? It doesn't matter, he's gone to stamp/rake his studs down his leg and it's the intent that has rightly got him sent off. It's one of those situations where a lot of players would find it hard to resist clattering him there. Phil Neville would have been salivating had he been in that situation. When it presents itself like that, you've got to take it

Oh yeah, it was definitely a red, just didn't warrant the 'sniper' treatment. Where's the national outrage about City getting a favourable offside decision in their favour by the way? Coloccini could have made himself an instant hero with about 75% of the football watching public of this country had he proper cleaned Suarez out. Sadly it was too reminiscent of the Keane/Shearer one of a few years ago at St James' Park. Definite red cards but should have at least made them a bit more worthwhile.

It was a fantastic piece of control to bring the ball down, but once he did that the keeper was pretty much out of the equation and it was a simple case of going past the static keeper and putting the ball in an empty net.

The control to get the ball down was perfect. It was a difficult ball, in the most pressured of positions, and Suarez took it down magnificently.

But the way it's been exaggerated is ridiculous. I'd personally say that if all the goals at the weekend were watched, it wouldn't even be the best goal of the week, never mind up with the all time greats.

When they introduced standard pitch sizes at the start of the season, City's was one of the few that had to be made smaller, albeit not by much.

I wouldnt be that surprised if Ajax win their home game against Dortmond, much less likely that City will beat Real Madrid and Dortmond. But stranger things have happened.

Yes, City are in a tough group, but they are looking close to a joke with their performances....All that money spent and yet it could easily be argued they are going backwards.

I said it a few weeks before they clinched the title and I'll repeat it again - A good manager would have a club with the backing that City has had, being a lot more dominant in their domestic league and competitive in the Champions League than Mancini presently has them.
