He's done great in this match, but he has to do it consistently. He's not a kid any more, he's played dozens of Tests now, and he has to produce the goods not just once but consistently. For me, Bresnan has been better when given the chance, although I don't really care who's in the team as long as it functions as a unit.

So just another 6 wickets to go.

With the review system Broad would have just got Tendulkar out LBW as well.

Can somebody fill me in on this whole issue of India refusing to allow LBW referrals. Heard snippets about it on-and-off on Talksport, and all i gather is that India are the only team in Test cricket allowed to refuse the use of them?

I believe either side in any series has the right to veto the use of hawkeye for lbw referrals. India just seem to be the only ones who don't want it used at the moment.

India's refusal to use reviews for LBW is due to them not being convinced on the predictive capability of Hawk-Eye.

It's disappointing, as I don't have Sky Sports at home so hardly see any live Test cricket unless I'm in a pub showing it, but whilst Channels 4 & 5 gave good coverage in the mid part of the last decade the BBC were woeful. They were a disgrace, cutting off the first part of every afternoon session to show episodes of Neighbores and interrupting coverage for hourly news bulletins etc. At least Sky covers it properly.

Bloody hell yeah, i'd completely forgotten about the Beeb doing that when they had the Test matches, then again, i was only single-figures in terms of age back then (mostly). Got in to cricket in '93 because of my Grandad, i saw The Ball Of The Century! Channel 4 were the dogs nuts for the cricket, i was fuming when the ECB sold out to Sky, regardless of the coverage quality.

Glad to see the real Indian team has turned up after tea, I was worried that the imposters who stood in for them during the morning and afternoon sessions would stay all the match!!

Very interestingly poised this one, India have to be favorites but need a big lead as they will have to bat last.

Good to see Broad performing well with bat & ball for the second successive match. I hope that dropped catch by Pietersen (off Yuvraj at the start of their fifth wicket partnership of 120+) doesn't prove too costly. We're still nearly fifty behind, with Trott & Swann both carrying arm/hand injuries that may hamper their batting, or prevent them batting at all.

I think we need to bat all day to be in position to win it, seems Trott will bat at some point but he's hardly likely to be on top form.
