| Quote ="Harrigan"I would too. He hits such a long ball. Was it last year at the Open where he hit 2 drivers 650 yards onto the green with 20mph winds blowing into his face? I can hit it a fair distance but I reckon Id still be a good 100-150 yards off
'"
He hits a mighty long ball. When I saw him, he hit an iron onto the green on a (short) 300 yard par 4. I asked his caddy what club it was - it was a 4 iron! Quiros turned round and said "down wind, easy swing!".
My missus is sick of me going on about it!
Tigers lurking at -1 today. He'll be there or there abouts on Sunday.

Yeah that's about average for Tiger at Augusta. No ones going to shoot -7 consistently here so I reckon he can have another steady one tomorrow follows by a Saturday charge.
Just checked out my bet btw. Ishikawa has dropped from 272/1 to 150/1. Anywhere top 5 will do me for a nice 130+ quid

| Fred Couples has just finished at -5 after 2 rounds(-4 for the day), only 4 off the lead of McIlroy although he has a fair few holes to go.
Looks like there is still a few birdies to be made on certain holes but it is getting tougher as the day goes on as usual.
Is it just me that thinks Ian Poulters attitude stinks?
He walks around as if he owns the place and pishes and moans and wonders why no-one likes him
If he spent half as much time practicing as he does getting his driver covers to match his trousers he would be #1 in the world by now!

| Tiger starting to get moving. Think McIlroy will regret some of those chances he missed on the back 9 today with Woods breathing down the back of his neck!

| Rory finishes -10 after 2 rounds and has been excellent, but now is when it get's tough but I hope he can do it it will be great for the European golf. Tiger as I type is -6 and playing absolutely superb in patches, when he takes a 3 wood from the tee and/or just swings normally he looks unbeatable but when he tries to leather it and miss the fairway more often than not he is struggling, makes you wonder just how many more tourneys he could have won if he had just played like this for the last few years cos he hasn't been that far away no matter what the media will tell you!
The player I am most impressed with so far is Jason Day, not only is he -8 and 2nd at the moment but after 11 holes yesterday he was +3 and looked like he was going to miss the cut, he had 4 birdies in a row just after to give himself a chance and then today has just blew the course away.
Should be a great weekend

Very true not just Today but he missed a few yesterday aswell, some that after the ones he made looked easy in comparison.

It's not just Poulter's attitude that stinks, it's Poulter himself that stinks. He spouts all this rubbish and then goes on Twitter crying about how he was "mis-quoted" etc etc.
And don't get me started on his outfits. I'm sure he gets his ideas for clothes from 1970s hotel decor.

I likened his trousers yesterday to some dodgy old curtains from an old caravan. Infact my ironing board cover is the same design!

| Can't help but think that McIlroy is going to regret his putting this week. Don't think I'm going OTT if I say that he could easily be -15 at least if he'd had a hot putter.

| Wasn't Tiger 21 when he won his 1st major? I reckon if Rory can hold on tomorrow there'll be some big comparisons handed out by the US press.

| Come on Rory lad
If he can stay around the same score he is on now it's going to take a special round from someone to beat him, he needs a few pars to start and hopefully he will finish it off.
I reckon -10 will be the winning score.
I don't think Woods is that far off as some of the commentators are saying either obviously most of them(like me and I guess most other Europeans) want McIlroy to win, but if he has a stinker like Dustin Johnson has in the last round the last few years in majors it wouldn't suprise me if Woods sneaked in.

I reckon -11 wins it. At least one of those in the chasing pack will shoot a 67 or 68 and put the pressure on. Hopefully Rory can be well clear of that mark though! 1st drive was a good un, approach wasn't to the same standard! He just needs to take his chances on the par 5s and play sensible golf the rest of the way. If he does he wins and wins well.

He might not need to be TBH. Rory seems to have steadied the ship somewhat but I think this is going to be a long round for Rory. Hope he comes out of it with a green jacket though!

Yep, Woods is the reason I started to watch golf and he is the reason I still watch it. Even when he isn't at his best he is still great to watch for me personally.
