Well Done, I got to the end of the 8th and simply gave up...
Another prime example of why Heavyweight boxing is dying on its ar$e.....A champion who is so one dimensional that it is frightening, and a challenger who is scared to death of actually getting involved in a fight.....Didn't Johnson realise that this was a WORLD heavyweight title fight he was taking part in, because surely if he did he would have actually bothered making an effort??
The problem with both the Klitchsko's is simple...Both are scared to death of getting hit. Watch them both fight and watch where their heads are when they are throwing punches...It's like watching fairies fighting.
I honestly think the time has come to introduce the Super Heavyweight category to the professional scene, to try and combat the never ending cycle of robotic, painfully slow, and tedious to watch 'Heavyweights' who are around today...I noticed there is another Eastern European on the rise (Ustinov), who, like all the rest, resmebled some lumbering freak, but because of his sheer size will inevitably overwhelm many of the smaller fighters out there.
Its not a coincidence that on last night's bill, the only heavyweight who looked remotely exciting to watch, was a blown-up cruiserweight, Jonathan Banks, who similar to our own David Haye, actually possesses a few more ideas about Boxing than a tedious jab-jab-straight right/left,whilst holding your head shamefully high because your scared to death, which is all these freak-type Eastern Europeans seem to be able to do.

| What's everybody make of this Pacquaio-Mayweather fight cancellation. I don't see what Pacquaio's big problem is with taking these tests unless he has something to hide, which is more likely than him "been scared of needles". I hate needles but i'd take the odd blood test for $40mil. Would be very sad if Pacman has been cheating his fans all this time.

Pacman isnt scared of needles. Its more that it takes him a few days to recover. He has been tested countless times and has always passed the blood tests. Its Mayweather trying to duck the fight. Just like he did with Moseley, Williams, Cotto and Margarito.
Mayweather only takes fights he thinks he can win.

| I still think the fight will go ahead, although maybe not in March. Neither fighter will get a payday like this for any other fight and the world wants to see it.
Did anyone watch Boxing KO's 2009 on Sky Sports yesterday? I'll let you guess which was number 1.

What a joke! Both guys have lost respect here and as usual Mayweather ducks a realistically challenging opponent.
Suggestions that Paulie Malignaggi, Yuri Foreman and Matthew Hatton are potential opponents for either guys... terrific!

Very disappointing that. Was looking forward to what would no doubt be a great matchup.

| (Predictably) [url=http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12183_5841794,00.htmlMayweather is blaming Pacquiao[/url.
I have no doubt Mayweather won't be a delight to negotiate with, but on the one hand, surely the 14 days leading up until the fight being blood test free is not an unreasonable offer from Floyd?
On the other hand of course, why should Pacquiao have to accept Mayweather's terms on drug testing; a matter that should really be left to the governing bodies.
Whatever, if this fight doesn't happen it's a black mark on the reputations of both fighters in my opinion.

| Mayweather is trying to turn the tables on Pacman, but why is he making such demands? He isn't bigger than the sport and he has never done this with any other opponent. It's just typical Mayweather.
At the same time, why Pacman won't do the test I don't know, but it does make you wonder.
None of them come out of this well, you're right. Too many excuses for my liking, do either of them really want the fight?

| I suspected Jermaine Taylor has pulled out of the SMW Super 6 tourny.
Either Pavlik, Bute (ranked number 1 SMW by the ring), or Alan Green to replace him?

He was advised. He has suffered 2 very heavy knockouts in his last 2 fights. He's done the right thing IMO
Green to replace him I reckon

| Ricky Hatton confirms that he will definitely return to the ring this year, probably in the summer. He's blamed his training regime and problems behind the scenes on his bad performance against Pacquaio and says Mayweather sr won't be training him again. He's not ruled out a fight against Khan, but due to problems with Frank Warren he doubts that fight will be arranged. He also mentioned Marquez as a possiblity, but no confirmation of an opponent.
I've seen the clip of him in the gym and to say he's well out of shape is an understatement. I've never seen him look so fat. I love watching Ricky Hatton fight, but I'm torn over this and just feel he's going on too long.

| There's no bigger fan of Ricky on here than me, but this is a huge mistake in my eyes. I can certainly understand him wanting to get back in shape but can't for the life of me see any sense in him having one (possibly two) more fights?
Really strange decision IMO and one I can see backfiring!

| It's a terrible decision IMO.
Having seen a photo of him captured from Sky Sports on the website, it's scary how he has let him self go. Apparently he has just got back from a week long bender in Tenerife! He has not changed his lifestyle one bit and it has caught up with him. Look at the fighters these days - most of the top guys live a very healthy life style. I read one report saying he needs to lose 35lbs before he can start his training camp!!!
Who will he fight? And who will train him? Beard?
I think Khan would actually beat him.
Kotelnik has been mentioned, that will achieve nothing as Khan wasn't really troubled when beating him.
Urango - already beaten in 2007 - stupid fight.
Tim Bradley? Devon Alexender?

He seems keen on Urango. Maybe he wants a belt to build his confidence and put more money on the table for a possible last fight against Juan Manual Marquez?

How do you feel he would do if he were to fight Marquez? Can't take much from his performance against Mayweather as it was at a much bigger weight that he is used to. OK he would be fighting heavier than normal again much it's a lot lighter than the Mayweather fight.
Depending how Hatton fights in his next fight I think it would be a big risk. But that's Ricky all over, only wants to fight the best! I would still prefer him to stay out of the ring and concentrate on his promoting.

| I think Khan against Hatton could be a goer. Warren loves to pitch his fighters in against ex world champions on the downward slope. The match up would be perfect for Khan IMO. I think Warren would know this too.

Would Hatton deal with Warren?
I think we need to see where Hatton is with a good camp where he isn't over trained (he is now claiming this was the case with Mayweather Snr) and with a trainer he is willing to listen to.
