| Hawks notch up another win 3-1 against Nashville at the Sommet .
The Predators are really struggling at the minute with only 13 shots on Huet??? This could also be down team defence & how the Hawks are playing as they currently lead the league with an average of just over 20 shots per game.

| Huets uncertain start to the season as the Hawks No.1 continues as he struggles in the Hawks 4-3 defeat in Dallas.
Will Quenneville look to make a move and possibly put Huet on waivers if they think another team would take him? Right now I seriously doubt any team would look at Huet who has been simply awful so far.
Think its time for Niemi to make a name for himself and give Crawford and good go while sorting Huet out. I admit Huet aint the greatest but he is a damn sight better than he has been playing so far this season.

| Unbelievable! We go on a 7 game win streak, within touching distance of a franchise record 8 straight games after playing some fantastic hockey, and then go and get dicked 7-3 by the Sharks.

| Pens are on fire at the moment, nobody is close to them in terms of scoring. Loving all the ice hockey action at the minute, even so early on in the season.

| Over 2 weeks into the season now and the leafs are still to win a game, the lastest dissapointment coming last night in a 3-1 loss to the canucks.
I had big hopes for a win last night as the leafs had had a weeks rest, but after a promising start, the same dumb plays reared their ugly head. I have so far only watched the 1st period, but imo the leafs started by far the brighter side and created some good scoring oppertunites. But daft penalties saw the leafs try to kill off 12 mins on the PK in the 1st, and when you are only killing off 60% and your goalies have the worst save percentage in the league, it was no surprise that the conceeded 2 PP goals.
Ron Wilson must be tearing his hair out at all the silly penalties they are giving away. The leafs are in a massive hole, and at the moment I cannot see where the first win is coming from.

Lets hope this is the start of some form worthy of his contract.

| Leafs win, leafs win oh yeah, the leafs win at long last. A Hagman hatrick helped the leafs to an impressive 6-3 win in Anahiem.
5 powerplay goals for the leafs on the night.

And even after that he still has a -1 score for the season. Just shows how poor defensivly we have been.
Gustavson (spelling?) was impresive between the pipes. Hopefully he can give bit of stability there and limit the amount of soft goals that the leafs have been shipping.

| Great rivelry game last night between the habs and the leafs. Disapointed that the habs snuck the win, 4-3 in a shoot out, but it was a great game.
This past week the leafs have at least shown that they have a stomach for a fight. On a 4 game road trip against the ducks, stars, sabres and habs the leafs have won 1 and had 3 OT loses. Hopefully they can play with the same amount of determination back at the ACC, starting on Tuesday against the lightning, where Kessel may make his leafs debut.

| The leafs are now unbeaten in regulation in their last 5 games, unfortunately they have lost the last 4 in OT or SO.
Last night they chalked up a dissapointing 2-1 OT loss to a lightning team that had been spanked 6-2 24hrs earlier by an under strength flyers side.
We certainly look a little better than 10 days ago, but they must start turning some of these tight games into wins.

Two excellent performances from Gustavson (spelling?) 34 saves on Friday night in the win against the Canes and backed it up with 35 saves last night. Just proves that the points will start flowing if you have good goaltending.
Surprised to hear during the comentry of last nights game that the Leafs have the second best powerplay in the league
