If there's ever a 'good' time to play Federer on grass Id suggest it is this year.
Not in the best of form (for him) niggling injuries, no coach, Nadal being in excellent form, a very tricky half of the draw (possible opponents - Safin 3rd round, Tursunov/Haas 4th rd, Blake/Gonzalez QF, Roddick SF) and the pressure of trying to win 5 in a row will have its toll IMO...if not he will quite deservedly go down as the best wimbeldon champ of all time for me, slightly ahead of Sampras...
by the way, anyone know who was the last man to beat Fed at Wimbledon?

| Disappointed that Murray is out!
I think Rodger will win it in the men's; he is too good on grass.
Had Rafa won Queen's I would have given him half a chance but he didn't.
Now Murray is out I would like Roddick to win it but he too can't beat Federer on grass! Although I do like Federer too!
I think Serena has a good shot this year too. She is clearly fired up for this years tournament ( I know this because yes; I do watch Jonathan Ross!  ) and I think she may just have a good run of luck and take the title.
Looking forward to it this year tbh.  |

I'm not sure Federer winning is a foregone conclusion this year. He has not been at his best and I think there are more players than Nadal who have a chance against him.

 Only people with a chance of winning bottle it. Henman has never bottled Timbledon.
Who knows? If he goes out in the first round I may actually watch the tournament. |
