| TNA Genesis Results (highlight below)
=#FFFFFFAmazing Red defeated Brian Kendrick to retain TNA X Division Championship
Sean Morley defeated Daniels
Tara defeated ODB to become NEW TNA Knockouts Champion
Hernadez & Matt Morgan defeated The British Invasion to become NEW TNA Tag Team Champions
Bobby Lashley refused to compete so Abyss knocked him out in Bischoff's office, Hogan then promised another opponent
Pope vs Desmond Wolfe had another great match with Wolfe winning this time. Brilliant that they got more time on this occasion due to it being PPV, just think WWE passed up on Wolfe and released Pope when they can put on wrestling like they do. Wolfe also has a sexy new valet accompanying him to the ring.
Beer Money Inc. defeated The Band (Nash & Sean Waltman) - Waltman replaced Scott Hall, good decision considering Hall isn't in shape. Hall came out towards the end pulled a fan over the guard rail (most likely a plant) which destracted Nash and Waltman, Roode got the pin on Nash.
The debuting Mr Anderson defeated Abyss - Abyss was going for a chair but Anderson pulled out brass knuckles.
AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle - Fantastic match going well over 30 minutes. Angle hit The Styles Clash at one point, Styles hit The Angle Slam, Angle did a top rope Angle Slam. The ending came when Flair pulled Hebner out of the ring while AJ was locked in the Ankle Lock and was going to tap, Flair then passed AJ the belt to use to knock out Angle. Still TNA World Heavyweight Champion - AJ Styles.
A much better PPV than I thought it was going to be really, only match I was unhappy with was Sean Morley beating Daniels.

| WWE didn't pass on McGuinness/Wolfe IIRC, he was set to sign with them and then decided to go with TNA at the last minute. Hell of a wrestler though, as is Elijah, he's got to have been one of the biggest mistakes in being released imo.

He went for the physical and WWE said he failed, so that's when he approached TNA. He's looked in good shape in TNA and put on amazing matches, wouldn't surprise me if he failed the physical on purpose.

Try trap two mate
Lashley is apparently in hot water with Hogan due to him not committing himself full time & takes time off for the MMA stuff. I think that's the reason the "New Aquisition".........."Aquisition" got the nod.
Not seen all Genesis yet, looks ok & a decent mix of old & new. No Angelina though.

| Notice how Shawn Michaels is looking increasingly bored and ticked off with the childish DX stuff in recent weeks. Might be wrong but its something I picked up on and I think its deliberate. I expect DX to end very soon, especially with Wrestlemania coming up.

| yeah, if i've read the spoilers right from last night, it looks like hunter siding with vince over this bret hart thing.
i'm gonna make a way out prediction now, hhh/vince versus HBK and the undertaker at WM with bret hart in HBK/takers corner.
And only one world title match because of it.

Very interesting prediction.
I was thinking along the lines of HHH vs HBK and Bret vs Vince. Not sure the tag match you suggest would be seen as a fair contest by the fans. Punk vs Mysterio is apparently nailed on as is Edge vs Jericho if Edge is fit enough. Probably also Orton vs Dibiase.
No idea which way they'll go with the world title matches though. Maybe they'll stick Cena in with Sheamus again which to me doesn't exactly sound appealing to say the least. No idea who they would put in against Taker - he's already steamrollered the whole roster. I just hope its not Batista.
I'm hoping there might be a possibility they'll stick the belt on Cena before Mania, face Taker and unify the belts.

| Awesome Kong has beaten up Bubba the Love Sponge over his F*** Haiti comment.
I love how Bubba apparently said on his show he would have fought back but his career would be over if he 'took her out'.
Not sure I would have fancied his chances on that one anyhow.

Sponge Bubba should get the sack, judging from a few quotes I have read, he seems a right idiot. Who is he anyway?

He's a radio presenter, I think, and an accquaintance of some form of Hogan, hence landing the TNA gig.
In regards to Hunter, I stayed up and watched RAW on a stream and he just said that Vince - and the McMahons in general - always have to have the last word in anything. Hunter said Vince should've "just let Bret go off into the sunset and we'll never have seen him again" (which is quite funny, as - according to Michaels' autobiography - it was Hunter who first suggested the idea of 'screwing' Bret and was furious with the situation that he felt Bret had put the company in).
Word a few weeks ago was that Hunter still has genuine heat towards Bret and refused to work with him. But last night, it looked as though he was being teased into the storyline.
Bret's limitations in the ring include not being able to take a conventional back bump or a shot to the face (when Vince kicked him in the balls t'other week, it was planned to be a slap to the face, but it was deemed far too dangerous given the consequences of Bret's concussion and stroke). A few sites were last week suggesting that Bret's health problems would be worked into the storyline somehow.
A final note, I was glad last night that Cole referred to it as The Montreal Screwjob. He's been doing my head in over the last month calling it The Montreal 'Incident'.

Hmm, if he's unable to take shots to the face in addition to back bumps then that would pretty much rule out any match at Wrestlemania.
You just know there's a Sharpshooter on the way though, somewhere down the line.

| Well they're still pushing for a rematch from last years WM with HBK vs Taker.
A possible show stealer, simply because you've two guys who the people want to see and who know what ring psychology is and how to use it.
The roster for the Rumble is:
Big Show
Cody Rhodes
Carlito
Evan Bourne
Jack Swagger
John Cena
Kofi Kingston
Mark Henry
MVP
Santino Marella
Shawn Michaels
Ted Dibiase
The Miz
Triple H
Batista
Chris Jericho
CM Punk
Dolph Zigler
Drew McNtyre
Finlay
John Morrison
Kane
Matt Hardy
R-Truth
Shelton Benjamin
Vladimir Kozlov
Yoshi Tatsu
Zack Ryder
So that's 28 confirmed guys and 2 yet to be announced. Most likely one of those will be Edge.
Have to say, the ending for Raw kinda left me cold about the Rumble itself. Doesn't look like there'll be a new breakthru star. It'll be Cena, or HHH, or Big Show, or HBK winning. And it's likely Orton will beat Sheamus for the title so it's the same old same old from WWE

| I'm not sure you can blame them though TBH. I can't think of many young guys in WWE that have really taken the bull by the horns, grabbed attention and made an impact.
There's been occasional glimmers of hope but no consistency. Kofi Kingston cut a great promo at the Garden a few months back but hasn't pushed on from it. Guys like John Morrison and R-Truth haven't really pushed on.
I see Ted Dibiase, Dolph Ziggler and maybe the Miz as the three most likely to take the next step at the moment.

| News for TNA Wrestling in Manchester.
There was originally a 5 man ladder match but Kurt is now in a singles match and Hernandez is in a tag.
3-Way Ladder Match World Title: AJ STYLES VS SAMOA JOE VS DANIELS
KURT ANGLE VS DESMOND WOLFE
TEAM 3D VS HERNANDEZ & MATT MORGAN
Plus: THE BRITISH INVASION W/ BIG ROB, “THE POPE” D’ANGELO DINERO, ERIC YOUNG, AWESOME KONG & HAMADA, AMAZING RED, BEER MONEY, SUICIDE, TAYLOR WILDE & SARITA, CHRIS SABIN, and more!
3 great matches there and they'll be about 4 or 5 additional matches. From going Liverpool Olympia for the first small tour and then Manchester last year these house shows really deliver.
