His actions though should mean he forfeits his right to play in the NFL.
Wierd Al has said he isn't interested, as have the Bengals and 49ers.

| I dont think so Dog Fighting resulted him in spending 18 months in jail. He has done that and is activly helping prevent dog fighting it has nothing to do with NFL. I dont agreee with this whole role model thing no matter who the player is

He also initially said he didn't think what he has done is wrong and blatently denied any wrongdoing to Goodell.
By your comment that it has nothing to do with the NFL what offence should negate the ability to participate in the NFL?
I don't think Stallworth should after he killed after a DUI and neither do I think Vick should. However using your method Stallworth would because it doesn't have anything to do with the NFL. Somebody who hung dogs, electrocuted dogs, beat them until they died and drowned them, all while making money off of it, should not be in the NFL.
I'd hope he can turn his life around, he is a troubled guy but it shouldn't be in the NFL. I totally agree with this quote which interestingly Roger Goodell has previously (although he has backtracked) said:
“I don’t believe everybody deserves a second chance… It’s not a right to play in the NFL. It’s a privilege.”

Favre's legacy was already tarnished after his first farcical retirement in my opinion. I used to really like the guy but after the last 2 years he's gone way down in my estimation.

Agreed. However another poor season could have really crippled his legacy. Last year can just be attributed to being angry at us for moving on and wanting to show us we made a mistake (which we hadn't). Also to have his last play being a heartbreaking INT in the NFC Championship game i'd imagine was difficult to take.
Doing it again, would be even more stupid, especially with our rivals.

He may not even miss a game now according to Goodell if he behaves himself
I dont disagree with letting him play but i think he should have been suspended for the rest of the year, I also think that there should be a clause for him and anyone else in a similar position that if they get into trouble again thats it they should be banned for life but i doubt Goodell would have the balls to do that

I thought Vick could play in the last two pre-season games but he'd miss several weeks of the regular season ? If Goodeel can ban Pacman Jones for the year he can do the same to Vick....if he has the balls.

He's already been suspended by the NFL since prior to his incarceration, and will be further suspended until Week 6 if he finds a team now he's been reinstated.
Considering Donte Stallworth got effectively a slap on the wrist (about as much as you get for failing a drug test in the NFL) for taking a life, arguing that Vick should be punished more heavily than he has been (both in football and in general social terms) is ridiculous.

I don't buy the he has already been banned while in jail. If, while serving his jail time, he was not suspended he still couldn't play so it isn't an effective punishment.
I agree on the Stallworth point, both him and Vick should never play in the NFL again. EVER.
He also should have got a hell of a larger sentence from the normal US justice system than 30 days.
Pacman got a year for whatever he did (not sure but it wasn't killing animals/people) yet Vick is only getting at most 6 games.

It's debatable.
Favre has the numbers over all of them.

Favre has never been as good as Brady IMO Numbers are o.k to look at when your retired but to me super bowl rings/trophies are the best way to judge a career.
Thats why the season before last all the records the Patriots set were for nothing because they lost the only game that meant anything
