| Just watched the Sox commit suicide in the bottom of the seventh.
Come on Rays.
Where were all these people at Tropicana when they were s***?

Just wondering because I went watching them five years ago, and there was a crowd of 5,000. Would have loved to have been there on a night like tonight.
Rays win.

| Pffft - anyone can sweep the Red Sox.
Useless fooking Jays lose again to their bogey team Seattle.
...and the curse of Spooky strikes again as Joe Inglett has barely played a game since I told him last week that he could say goodbye to Syracuse this season.
I may also be responsible for Tallet's blowout at the weekend and all I did was rub his belly.

| Just heard on the radio that the Jays are looking to shop AJ Burnett for a new SS. If that's the case I would hope that they are at least also looking to shop Eckstein too. Hopefully nobody will want Johnny Mac and he stays on as back-up.

None that I know of, which is why I think it's a daft move. We've been without a proper DH since May yet we're shopping a great starting pitcher for a SS despite having 4 guys who can play there. It's crackers!
Anyway, current rumour is the O's are interested in Eckstein. I'd let him go for nowt. It'd free up a roster spot for Hill, who should be back from rehab soon. Scutaro and Mac can share the SS role with Smokin' Joe staying on as Mr Utility. Sounds good to me.

| Isn't it funny how now that the Red Sox and Yankees aren't dominating proceedings that it's gone quiet on this thread. Gloryhunters.
For those that didn't know, the Red Sox now hold the record for the most consecutive number of games that have been a [url=http://www.bizofbaseball.com/sell out with 456 and growing[/url. Incredible record, although having 4.5m people to call on makes it a bit easier. The previous record holders were the Indians (just under 3m to call on).

| Our win streak just ended at 10 games (thanks McClennan ) but we made the ChiSox work for it. Hopefully we'll bounce back tonight to mess up their play-off chances then on to Fenway to throughly fook off the Red Sox - AGAIN! We might not make the play-offs but after sweeping two play-off contenders already this month baseball is certainly fun again for us Jays fans.

More to do with nothing to write about, we were crap at the start, showed a bit of hope, then shy'te again, having Wang, Hughes, Matsui, Posada out injured hasn't helped although we have seen players like Ransom, Gardner emerge, also the trade for Xavier nady could turn out to be a good one, we need to go away from having a team of allstars and having good solid baseball players like when we had Brosius, Girardi, Bernie and O'Neill etc.

with regards to the yankees, the rest of baseball is meaningless, it's all about us.

| Someone tell me, am I imagining things, or are the Blue Jays actually winning games at the moment?!
I feel like the balance of the universe has been upset greatly. It'll all come back to normal soon.

| 11 of the last 12. HUGE series against the red sox this weekend, 4 games. Were 6.5 behind them in the Wildcard so if we can get good results this weekend, we could be only 2.5 back
