Should have played it at Dundonald. I assume the reason why it's not at Loch Lomond is due to finances?

Yep finances was the reason given by Loch Lomond, I was reading about it yesterday and apparently Dundonald was considered but the people who run the course said it was 3 years away from being ready to hold a tournament.

Can't be in any worse condition than Castle Stuart is after the other night



Edit: Looking again the owner said this in 2006 so no idea why it isn't there!

I think it's really wide open, I'm still to pick my bets but Paddy Power paying 7 places is a good offer.

Rory hasn't started great but is only 1 over. Bjorn is rolling back the years at -6 though but I can't see him keeping it up over 4 days.

I'll be interested to see the scores tomorrow when the winds die a bit and it gets to about 70.

Afternoon players are struggling like the morning lot early on.

Westwood, again, is slow starting 3 bogeys and 3 pars so far. Plenty of time though, G-Mc has hit a nice couple of birdies to pull him back to +1.

Darren Clarke's doing his best to mess up a really good round, I know he's still on a good score but he was challenging to take the lead at one point.

Great to see Tom Watson doing well again aswell a true legend of the game and one of the nicest blokes there is in the world of golf

USPGA championship underway at the Atlanta Athletic club.

Woods was -3 earlier but finished with a +7 round of 77, it's tough but not that tough



Steve Stricker just finished at -7 , had a putt for the lowest round in major history (62) but finished with 63

Rory McIlroy just injured his wrist by being too greedy with a shot instead of laying up, tried to leather the ball instead of chipping out. There must have been a tree branch or something under his ball.

Doesn't look to good either!

I've injured my wrist before playing out of a sticky situation. It's best just to try and get through the round and asses it then. I think had it not been a major he would have dropped out though. It could ease up the more he moves it.

As someone who has broken his wrist and carried on working, I think he is an idiot. I broke my scaphoid bone in half and had to have it pinned because it wouldn't heal as the blood only flows one way into the bone. I was told I did more damage carrying on working.(obviously if I had known this at the time I wouldn't have carried on

) Stopped me from playing golf for 2 1/2 years did that barsteward



Obviously it's more than likely isn't broke because of the way he can still swing the club but there is no way I would carry on playing and risk missing more playing time later on. He has no chance of winning now anyway playing with the injury. *
