If you start one i'll be in it but I don't know if there's enough NHL fans on this board to do a league.

I could be tempted
The Luongo to Hawks rumour is still doing the rounds with the Chicago rumoured to trade Bolland, Stalberg & a draft pick. The Canucks need a gritty checker that can play both ends of the ice and Bolland fits the bill and they need a player to fill the void left by the injury to Kesler. The only stumbling blocks would be if the Hawks would be willing to pay a high salary for another net minder & would the Canucks want to trade him to a bitter rival? As much as we need a consistent goalie Bolland & Stalberg are key guys for the Hawks & wonder if Luongo would be worth it long term.
It would seem more likely he'll head back to Florida. Pains me to say but they made a mistake letting Niemi go.

| Hawks come back for 2-0 down to beat the Stars 3-2 in O/T with another sublime move from Kane to set up Hossa for the gwg.
Kari Lehtonen kept the Stars in the game saving 38 from 41 shots fired at him after been outplayed by the Hawks. Its this area between the pipes that is the achilles heal of the Hawks and needs addressing asap.

I would wait till nearer the trade deadline to see what other teams might be interested in letting a n/m go if they're not in the playoff hunt. From what i've seen Crawford is good enough to get us to the playoffs but not to win the cup.

| I've set one up. It's spli into categories and you get a point if you win each category. Please read points system on EPSN fantasy.com. I have set a draft for tomorrow at 21.00pm. Once we've all registered I can open to the yanks and they can fill it.

Well after last night make that only one team left unbeaten in regulation after the Ducks beat the Sharks to hand them their first loss in regulation.
Have to say this is the game I've been waiting for since the start of the delayed season.
About time Emery found his game and what a game he played to steal the points from the Flames.
Just hope whoever is in the net Tuesday for the Hawks can repel everything that the Sharks offence will throw at them and Hawks can get their 4 lines rolling and firing for the full 60.
GOOOOOOOOOO Hawks!

| Well what a game that was, Hawks 2-0 down after 5 mins, Quenneville calls a time out, 4 goals in 1m 31 secs to make it 3-3 at the end of the 1st period!!!!! Hawks then go on to win 5-3 with game winning goal by Kane in the 2nd period followed up by an empty netter by Kane in the last minute of the game.

The best thing about the win was the young kids getting the goals to get us back in the game,if we don't have to rely on Hossa,Kane and Toews every game it'll help us when the playoffs come.Buffalo are showing it doesn't matter how good your 1st line is playing you need more than one scoring line to win in this league.

| The Blackhawks are still undefeated in regulation and are now 1 game away from matching the nhl record from the start of the season and it's only little Vancouver at home next up.That should be a game to watch tomorrow night, can't wait as it will be good to beat the hated Canucks to get the record

And still remain undefeated in regulation , tying with the Ducks for the NHL record. Good game but they lost their game a little when Hossa left the ice after he took a belt to then head again from another Canuck to the back of his head. Up until then he was having a great game with a brace in the 2nd the second a beautiful backhander past Schneider.
Would have been a big win if it hadn't been for Schneider, plus Emery came up big again for the Hawks. Roll on the Sharks again.

| We are now into March and the Blackhawks are still undefeated in regulation,20 games and counting.I know it's very early but it's looking to me that we could have a Boston/Chicago Stanley cup final. You couldn't ask for much better than that,2 original 6 teams in big media markets, after whats happened in the last year Bettman will be crossing his fingers that it is Bruins/Hawks or something similar.

| 22 games in and still continuing. Next up the Wild so fingers crossed we can carry it on.
To be fair the Habs seem to be going well this season so a Hawks v Habs final would be great, again both original 6 but added bonus of USA v Canadian team.
The Penquins seem to be starting to find form too.

| The Blackhawks finally lost a game in regulation after losing 6-2 to Colorado. They can now just concentrate on getting the number 1 seed in the playoffs and hopefully no serious injuries between now and the playoffs,

| Division re-alignment has been made official so from the start of next season Detroit and Columbus will move to the east and Winnipeg will move to the west.Dissapointed the Chicago/Detroit games will be down to 2 a season but this new structure means all the teams will now play most games in their own time zone. The only problem will be if Phoenix move to somewhere like Quebec,it'll put them in the west in an eastern time zone.

Just can't believe they have taken out one of the oldest rivalries in NHL history, bad move to be honest.
I see the Flames have traded Igilna to the Pens

The Pens are really going for the cup this year trading for Murray and Morrow aswell as Iginla.Iginla turned down Boston to go to Pitt instead so I hope they meet in the playoffs as it could get interesting.

Sharo has done some great work for the Pens on the trades as they have only given up one prospect.
The Bruins have taken Jagr from the Stars. Handzus returns to Chicago who will help in the playoff run especially on the face offs.
Think the final 4 will be Chicago V Ducks & Pens V Boston with a Final of Chicago v Pens.
Tortella I dont think will be dumped until at least the end of the season but for some reason the Blue Shirts still struggle to get anything in return for their outlay, although its interesting to note that the teams doing well at the moment all had relatively quiet off seasons trade wise where as the Rangers made quite a few changes.

Seems a very brave or reckless trade by Tortella (maybe due to an unhealthy relationship after benching him in the play-offs last season), Gaborik is a great player who has done well since going to New York although coming off his injury he has had a fairly quiet season so far although that can be said of the whole team. Think its been mainly a trade to get his salary off the cap and some more bodies although Dorsett is out for the season with a broken collar bone.
Would imagine Gaborik will be with another team come the start of next season no offence to CBJ, wouldn't mind seeing him in the Indian Head jersey , although would need to be a careful trade for that to happen to stay in the cap and not risk destablising the current roster.
