It's just a case of what everyone outside the north west has known for a bit. Price is vastly over rated. He'll be fighting domestic fights for a bit, beats up enough nobodies until comes across another half decent fighter who will finish him.

| What a great fight between Matthews and Coyle.
I thought Coyle was going to easily win and then he fell for a sucker punch./
Proper boxing.
Looking forward to seeing Kell Brook next.

In fact I'm starting to think boxing on the whole has gone soft. I'm not saying we should go back to the days of only a proper knock out should stop a fight but my god we have gone to far the other way.

| I agree I thought both stoppages were a bit premature.
Overall I was more impressed by Brook this time around but now it's time for him to step up in class. I reckon the fighter he'll be facing next will be Shane Mosely.

The Campbell fight (term used loosely!) was a farce. Talk about playing to the crowd. Ive heard hes after a big step up in his next fight. My mams going to get the boxing gloves on and take him on!
While I think he could do well in his boxing career I thought he would have had a bit of a test at least.

| was gutted for coyle lastnight, hope he gets the rematch he deserves, won almost every round and i thought he would tire but he just kept on going!! can never write of derry mathews though and thats boxing!
on the stoppage think there was 20 seconds to go of the round, the ref had a good look in his eyes and has a better view than us but i think he could of survived the round
kell brook got the win, thought it was going to be over early doors with his crisp combos and picking jones off at will, but i do not rate jones at all, who had ever heard of him before??? kell brook needs a real test and for all that i rate him he struggled to impress in both fights and think alexander coulf of been a step too far.
also why did the ref step in for jones on when jones hadnt even gone down previous to the stoppage??? its not an amateur bout, he didnt touch the floor? not the first time ive seen this recently. if the fighter goes down then yes is a count to 10 but stepping in and giving a standing count?? thats just giving the fighter a get out
hear its mosley of senchenko up next for him.

No'" You were incorrect in your post AS HE HAD GOT UP.
Now the fact the ref was soft in another story. I mean 15 seconds to the bell and the ref stops it with a boxer getting up at 5?. To quote yourself 'Really?'
It strikes me that Coyle could have danced a jig and the ref would have stopped it simply because Derry Matthews had tagged him and that was enough apparently.

| Anyone who has followed Kovalev over the last 18 months in particular knew Clev was potentially in for a pounding, he wasn't ready for him IMO, and now his status as a paper champion is over he can go back to the drawing board, take stock and work on improving his flaws, he's still young he's got time.
I'm so pleased for Barker, I couldn't happen to a nicer bloke, and to get up from a body shot like that is amazing, I can't remember too many fighters get up from a body shot to come back and win, especially in a world title fight.

| Golovkin might be a little offended if he heard you call him Russian... He's from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan have produced good armature boxers for a long time, maybe we'll start seeing more of them make their mark on the pro game. FWIW I think Barker should stay clear of him and Martinez and fight either Chavez Jnr or Murray.

think barker should stay away from him too, he has a mandatory against felix sturm next.
the murray one after that would be a great fight and good money for both

Hearn is talking about getting Sturm over in December, Sturm would be a good scalp even though he's past his best. A fight against Quillian would be good too, although I reckon he hits harder than Golovkin.

Terrible decision wasnt it.
I had Beltran winning at least 7 rounds including a 10 - 8 knockdown.
Burns has some guts to fight on with a broken jaw but was badly beaten IMHO.

| Jid Galahad looked the real deal last night.
Can obviously punch and took a few punches himself.
The only thing that gets me is how many of Ingles fighters keep their hands low when jabbing. Leaves them open to getting tagged . If they are unlucky just once against a big puncher then it will be good night.

yes galahad looked good, was a really good fight infact.
I dont think galahad will go far though, maybe european but not world.
eubank jr was impressive to stop that guy who really came to fight, showed some power to stop him which others have failed to do, impressive.
over in las vegas danny garcia was brilliant against matysse..showed quality, khan wouldnt beat him in a rematch.
mayweather showed his class, still the king of boxing!! alvarez looked huge in the ring compared to mayweather but he is just tooooooo slick!
