Well they have said stuff that is reason enough to be depressed unless you believe in the utopia of it is only what happens on the field that counts but that aside I hope they for that weird three division structure.

It might be change for change sake but at least it's different! If they go for the safe option of a smaller SL with P&R back in, well I give up. It will solve nothing.

They are going to bring in a ridiculously complicated structure with numerous changes and considerations, when the best remedy would be some lucrative competition sponsorship and a return to top 5 playoffs. They really are morons.

It should be a simple 10 or 12 team comp with a 5 or 6 team play off, relegation and the cup final moved back to May.

My understanding is that a certain group of SL clubs, Wigan included, have now had enough of the RFL's incompetence.

A vote of no confidence on the RFL board spearheaded by IL I am told.

In this case it seem to me the rfl are an easy target.The real incompetence lies at the feet of at least 9 of the current SLE clubs who have failed miserably when everything has been put on a plate for them during two licencing periods, which has given them total protection.

I think it goes a bit further than that. Meetings are apparently afoot. The SL clubs are tired of not being able to control their own affairs.

The story is going to break this week apparently, and it will be big.

It's sad really that it has to come to this for the game's governing body to wake up and see what's going on.

Fantastic. It's about time the sport in the UK got it's act together.

I guess what this may really be about is the the game's professional upper tier wanting to survive.

There are already murmurings on TotalRL that the RFL look after 'the whole of the game', and the SL clubs are being selfish.

But maybe it's about time the rest of the game tried to stand on its own two feet.

I mean ... how much of the TV revenue generated by the SL clubs goes to the lower leagues? That's a genuine question by the way, and I'd love to hear an answer. I bet it's not insignificant ... and yet several SL clubs can't even afford to pay up to the very tight salary cap we are all being forced to live under, even though we're now losing our own homegrown stars as a result.

apparenly there are 16 shares of the sky money ,14 go to the sle clubs,one goes to the rfl for admin and one share is split between the other 24 clubs

Exactly the kind of leadership I have been saying we should expect from the chairman of one of the games leading clubs.

Will be interesting to see where Hethrington sits on this one. He always strikes me as one for siding with the establishment.

90k is the figure the centurions are always quoting that they get from central funds so i assume thats what the other championship clubs recieve.Dont know if thats the same for champ 1 clubs

What with win bonuses and other expenses associated with taking part in the final you could hazard a guess if that puny amount is all a clubs gets for winning they could actually make a loss on the day!
