It was only after someone restrained Westwood that Tomkins let go.

I never said the punches were deserved. I did say that he wouldn't have started throwing them had he not been held down though. No serious hits landed by Westwood so penalise the first offence. I don't see your problem.

Nevertheless, striking a player is a more serious offence than holding down and should have been punished. Your approach to refereeing would give the green light to players reacting with over the top violence safe in the knowledge that they won't be penalised and will, in fact, still receive the original penalty. Westwood should have gone for 10, even if the penalty had still gone to Warrington for holding down.

Just re-watched this on Sky! Wallop!! One minute sat there, next minute throws a huge punch at the lad two seats away!!

Bit pointless arguing with someone who's already admitted they're on a wind-up. Don't imagine I'd get much but childish baiting, eh.

Was this the incident that led to the funniest moment of the night, when Solomona grabs young Sam by the collar and literally chucks him like a rag doll away from the ensuing fracas??.....The sight of Solomona then telling Tomkins and his gathering team mates to calm down was pure genius....

Watching at the time, I saw Tomkins headbutt Benny, similar to the one in the WCC, but I'm not definitely certain on that, will have to watch it again.

I like Tomkins as a player, good brain, quick on his feet and always dangerous, but he has a very short fuse, which, against good sides, will inevitably see him getting exposed.

He undoubtedly has a few tricks of his own when it comes to gamesmanship (the clamping of the tackler's arm in the tackle being the obvious one), but its ironic that whenever an opponent turns the table on him that he seems to lose his rag quite quickly.

I hope for his own sake that he can learn to control that temper, otherwise there is a serious chance it will become a massive flaw in his game that opposing sides will soon look to expose.

I see Tomkin milked his usual penalty with his signature move. grix did well to get out of it but again the official was too dumb to see it. he's gonna start getting pinged for it sooner or later.

Been sniffing glue pal? You are the only person in the entire world that saw it this way. Sam couldn't possibly have punched the guy out of the film mask (westwood) first as he was too busy trying to release his arms that the guy out of the film mask (westwood) was holding to milk the penalty.

I must admit that penalty was a game changer.........oh no, it wasn't, i forgot we dominated the whole game.
Our forwards were making almost 10 metres per carry, your rarely played beyond our 30 line and your kicking has been your weakness this season, one dimensional.

Just can't resist sinking to your level with this one, but its a tad ironic you pick out Westwood for his film star looks, when Tomkins himself looks like he has been beaten with the ugly stick....Christ, he has the complexion of a mouldy, crusty pizza....I bet tackling him with that spotty neck is a health & safety issue in itself!!....
