He's always had the potential to be a good player, even when at Bradford. At least we're going with someone whose going to actually be playing in our game next year and is a lot better defensively than Smith. I say give Bridge a chance, he can't do no worse than Smith.

I thought that. Although McGuire didn't play well on Saturday he wasn't exactly helped by his inside defenders, JP and Morley. He was left exposed but that was no excuse for not pulling defenders over and into position.
Having said that I think this weekends game will be a slog up the middle and will better suit JP in that respect.

Don't think so. Fox had a poor end to the season (last three games) but prior to that he was outstanding. He didn't get in the dream team for nothing.

To much switching around though IMO even though it would have been ideal, had Locky have been fit to play I'd of said yes with Locky in 2nd row but we was looking a bit weak in the forwards if Ellis was in the centres.

| Happy with that. I'd have JP at prop to 'mix-it' a bit more but this is comfortably the best 17 we've put out this tournament.
No issues with Bridge at centre, dangerous going forward and not too bad defensively.
Delighted with the half back combo of Sam and Kyle I really think they can spark something special.

Farrell used to do it a lot to be fair.
Fair play to Smith for picking that team and dropping McGuire and Lee Smith. I've no complaints about the 3/4's either it's as good as we've got.

Fair point really considering at the moment Jon Wilkin appears to be our back up second row nofl

| A reasonably good squad, not sure about carrying on with Roby though, he doesn't look the same player he was a couple of seasons ago, hopefully we'll get quicker ptbs for him in this game, that's when he's dangerous.

| People are saying about too much switching around, so does that mean we should stick with McGuire, T. Briscoe and Smith just to not mess it up too much?

I'd agree with that. The uncannily accurate distribution below head height and lightning pace would be an ideal asset in this pivitol role.

On the wire Board I posted that Fox was my main worry in That combo...
Bridge is definitely physcally Strong enough to defend against the NZ centres (as is Fox to be Fair) but I just think one could easily get pulled out of position and leave the other flapping....
But whatever your (wigan Fans) views on Warrington players in the England squad which is mainly negative, Bridge adds an attacking option out wide that no other player in the squad has....His footwork could, and given the right ball, should leave the big kiwis grasping at air.....
