After all the moaning about Aus nicking PNG/Tonga/Kiwi players and England stealing Scot/Irish/Welsh players ?
It has to stop. Even though Dobson is a cracking player i'd still say no on principle.

Would he want to?
Just cause he lives here doesn't necassarily mean he'd want to play against his own countrymen.
Ask Catalancs (who lives in France) that if he was a sportsman would he play for France against England and play to win.

I agree about Sinfield as the Hooker he just doesn't seem to be effective at LF internationally.
Saying that McGuire could have been the Hooker he was getting screwed the whole game.

Oh it’s defiantly up to him to make the choice but we should at least be offering him the opportunity to do it imo. I realise he’s an Aussie but personally that doesn’t bother me and I think a player like him at the age he is would improve us as a team.
I guess it all comes down to what he wants. Is he going to play for Australia? Probably not seeing he’s already playing in SL & just signed a new deal at KR. So if he ever did go back to the NRL it won’t be for a while and he’ll have to be in great form to displace those who are already in front of him for the green and gold 7 shirt.
England could offer him the chance to play at that level

Our wing got battered yesterday with Smith and Briscoe. It wasonly after half time when Smith went on the wing we stiffened up our defence on that wing. Ellis could ply there and hid defense would help against the powerfull Kiwis.
As it is Tony Smith in charge he will prob drop Sam and Eastmond along with Crabtree.

| Lockers is a massive loss when you sit down and think about it.
If Lockers hadn't got injured in a meaningless game then Ellis could have gone to centre and Eastmond into HB easily without much harm to the side.
If you put Eastmond in at HB which imo is a must then who is going to be the centre? I don’t want Smith there for a number of reasons so the only real option is Ellis isn’t it leaving us a space in the pack to fill. Maybe Crabtree/Morley in the 2nd row with Carvell stepping up to the bench?
I’d go for
Briscoe
Hall
Ellis
Shenton
Fox
Tomkins
Eastmond
Graham
HKR-Sinfield
Morley/Crabtree
Peacock
Crabtree/Morley
Burgess
Carvel
Westwood
Roby

| Tomkins and Eastmond without question.
We looked 100% more dangerous when they played together yesterday, they attacked the line and made the aussies think, something they dont like doing.

I don't hate him I just don't rate him or see the fuss about him.
I hate Saints with a passion but I'll admit Eastmond is a top draw young talent easily on par with Sam but I just don't see the hype over Myler.
Myler was at a very, very poor Salford side and got a lions share of the ball to make plays with. If he pulled something off he was a hero if it failed then it's blamed on the dross that he's playing with. Its pressure free rugby in a way isn’t it as no one is going to take his place, no one expects Salford to do anything and when they do it’s all down to him.
On the other side of the spectrum his international career has been one were he’s played against poor opposition in a rampant team. Again it’s easy to shine when you you’re trampling over a weak French side isn’t it. Sam destroyed Wales the other week but it means nothing compared to what he did yesterday against the worlds best.
Eastmond and Sam have be excellent in very good teams something which is much harder to achieve. They’ve had to create things with half the ball Mylers had with a hell of a lot more pressure on their shoulders as well.
The pressure to succeed at Wigan and Saints means Eastmond and Sam haven’t been given the luxury of time that Myler had.
Imo we’ll see what Myler does when he’s out of his comfort zone next season as the pressure really is on him.

| Tomkins at 6 and Eastmond 7 and McGGuire off the bench.
Peacock can't go to 2nd row again. He's too slow now and Lockyer saw him out of position and the long pass to Inglis left McGuire, Smith and Briscoe a man short. Inglis went through a gap 10 yards wide as we were a man short. Peacock is the captain but I thought our least effective forward yesterday.
Graham, Morley, Burgess, Crabtree, Ellis and Sinfield are all musts.
Don't know whether we should replace Westwood with Wilkin who does have pace and cover very well outside.
How we miss Diskin, real poor selection with Moore and Roby.
My team v Kiwis.
S Briscoe, Smith, Bridge, Shenton, Hall, Tomkins, Eastmond, Morley, Roby, Graham, Burgess, Wilkin, Ellis, Subs, Sinfield, Crabtree, Westwood, McGuire.

| As people have said I would go with Tomkins and Eastmond with Sinfield at lock.
FWIW I thought Kevin Sinfield was awesome yesterday. Really answered his critics.

| For me Eastmond at 7 and Tomkins at 6.
I think TS was right to pick Maguire initially as 2 inexperienced half backs was probably too much of a risk but he hasn't performed so replace him. Unlike others i do rate Myler and think he will be around international rugby for years to come but he simply isn't match fit having not played the back end of the season so i wouldn't pick him for that reason. 4 fowards on the bench as Sinfield can move to 6 if we have to change any backs.

mentioned on another thread that he didn't get any ball. It was Mcguire and Sinfield between themselves, hence why it cocked up. Similar story against the French when Myler was at 7. Are they unsure what to do when Burrow aint there or are they trying to make up that Buurrow aint there and want him there? hmmm I wonder
