Leaving Monday lunchtime (booked before I knew the HKR game was switched from Friday to Monday). Staying in Clermont-Ferrand until Friday (my daughter is at uni there doing a year abroad as part of her language degree) and then driving down to Montpellier on Friday morning. First time to a Catalan game and I can't wait

I notice your location is Limoges. I'm flying into (and out of) there. I had booked my flights before the fixtures came out - happy coincidence that the game is on. Google is telling me it's a 5h drive from Montpellier to Limoges. Is that a realistic estimate?

when are you arriving ? do you need overnight accommodation ? if so,we have loads of space and you would be most welcome to spend the night chez nous (as long as you are house trained !) - could turn nasty though,what with me being a Saints fan .......

Limoges - Montpellier is a straight run down the motorways but you will need to allow six hours IMO - Toulouse can be a slight bottleneck depending on the time of travelling but otherwise it's a straight run down.

I would avoid the cross country run (ie. via Figeac etc) it can be a pain crossing from the A20 to the A75 sometimes and seems to last forever.
You could always go via the Millau Viaduct then either cross country to the A20 or carry on up the A75 to Clermont Ferrand the on to Limoges on the way back for a change of scenery.Millau is worth the trip alone.

We will be leaving at about 0800 on saturday morning to have a nice leisurely trip down (with a few pit-stops of course

), giving us enough time to find the hotel and soak up the atmosphere in town etc before seeing Catalans completely demolish W***n......

Turned out in Clermont Ferrand last night. 5.60 Euro was the cheapest pint (up to 6.80). Red wine was 2.60. It was lashing it down (and still is)

Apologies if it's been mentioned, but Montpellier are in the French Kick and Clap GF on Saturday evening.

Could lead to a good atmosphere in the city if they upset Toulouse, but a few locals who might have been tempted to go along could have different ideas now.
