having read that he is about as popular as Farrar was here! At the end of the day the guy played for stains, that should rule him out straight away.

I wouldn't worry about the Wigan Reporter. It really is the shallowest end of the pool in terms of Wigan journalism, just recycled bits and bobs from all the other papers.

I doubt anyone who works on it does any research of their own.

It was in the Observer on Tusday and it was only case of Fairleigh saying 'i'd be interested in the Wigan job'.

Both would improve what we have.

Likely coaching targets could really be anyone but seems to be:

McGuire / Fairleigh / Lam.

The only one I could see unseating Noble would be McGuire, surely Lam or Fairleigh would only get an assistant role alongside Wane with Noble in charge.

I was out around Wigan chatting to Dave Furner the day Maurice told him he wasnt going to offer him another deal, he was devastated and it certainly made Leeds a better side and us weaker.

Lenagan has said we'll be signing nobody but we can only hope thats not true. We don't need major additions but we don need a solid prop as a minimum and if possible a halfback with a decent kicking game.

I'd be happy enough with Griffin and Brough.
