Good on you for putting it right. Like many on here I'm very please French wasn't signed as a replacement for Zak, but an additional member to the squad.

I agree. Hardaker has been solid at full back. With two exciting attacking halves surely it will help him improve next season back to his best (MOS standards).

And I for one cannot wait to see that trio in full flow.

I think some of these latter replies are unfortunate, not needed.
Zac will be really looking forward to having the quality of Burgess, Lockers, Hastings and French in the squad next year.
No one will be more aware of how that that upgrade in quality will benefit him. Pity Williams is going, him and Hastings could have been something special.
French though will give us something completely different.
We've asking for an exciting brand of rugby and he's been brought in to provide it and |I'm sure he will.
Be good to see how he goes this year. Hope he makes his debut v HKR as the Wire game could be one where Lam plays his full strength squad.

Perhaps a woolly hat and some gloves might just be the answer.

Very good again last night.

I wasn’t a fan of him coming to the club but he is now starting to repay the people that had faith in him at Wigan with some very good performances.

I think what most people forget is the commitment he showed early on to go in to rehabilitation with no way of contacting the outside world none of his previous clubs did this for him plus you can add to the fact that he is nowhere near his old crew in pontefract i think all credit should go to lenagan and radlinski for making live over here in john batemans house

Zak is doing well, I'm pleased with him, and I fully believe we've seen no where near the best of him yet in cherry and white. Early on he was finding his feet in a new environment, living in a new place surrounded by new people at a new club. On top of all that he had a mountain of anticipation on his shoulders after a series of off-field issues. Adding to this, I don't think he was nearly as fit as he needed to be or is now.

Now he's got his feet under him, he knows the lads, found (hopefully) his happiness and his form is following. Add to this the next level; next season we're seeing new signings come in who's style of play will help Zak kick up a further gear and become even better.

Fingers crossed this is a success story in the making for Wigan and for Zak. I have faith.

Firstly, I wouldn't raise so much as an eyebrow for Saints.

Secondly, the LLS counts for precisely NOTHING (other than a week off before the playoffs). It most certainly does NOT make them any kind of champion team.

They MIGHT be crowned champions, but that has nothing to do with lifting the hubcap.

(And just FYI - Wigan will still be champions until around about 19:40 on Saturday 12th October)

Now can we PLEASE get this thread back to discussing Zak - Who I thought played really well on Thursday (again).

Hardaker linking with Hastings should be incredible. He needs to get himself extremely fit in the off season so he can follow Hastings around and feed off his breaks. If he does that he’ll bag 25 try’s next season.

Rads used to do similar off Lam, he was never a ball playing fullback, but he was a solid defender, good pace and a great support player, so all in all a similar player to Hardaker. Its a very similar situation with Hastings/Hardaker to Rads/Lam, I'm hopeful that next season there will be quite a few positive differences in how the team and individuals approach the game overall.
