IL actually said at the 1st Fans Forum he offered him a Low wage which was a Good deal in Wigan's Favour & Then Pryce actually said he would have come for less.
End of the day, never mind what he's on,
He was pretty bad this week and got slaughtered!
He did pretty well though last week and still got slaughtered!
AT least him being in the team means sone of the Kn0bheads lay off Riddell whilst Pryce is there to have a go at!

I must be honest there are a hell of a lot of people who claim to know people in the club or have contacts in the know, and when in fact it boils down to it very few actually no a damn thing, some will but I would Imagine there very much in the minority.
As for pryce, the decision to play at 6 was Noble's mistake and not something Pryce should be blamed for, yes he looks to lack energy but that's just how some players are, I personally have seen enough signs from him to think eventually he'll come good if we perceiver with him.

Its quite simple for me this Pryce debate.
The guys had long enough to get fit and well up-to superleague standard and hes simply not up-to it.
After Friday's performance, the lad has to go.

In your opinion he has to go however the club obviously feel different, it would be interesting to see if Pryce joined Saints what sort of player he could become, I would suspect were that to happen and he be a success that would be a damning show of the inept coaching at Wigan. It's hapened before anybody remember Mathers?

| mathers isnt a great example to use imo ,
the perception was actually worse than the performance
he only ever really got commented on within these boards after a poor performance , nothing was said after a steady display
facts are facts ,
Pryce was carried all last season , has had a full pre season to get somewhere near upto speed , but in reality is a million miles away from getting there
again , i question how long you carry dead wood like that , not just from the playing side of things , but from the business side of it all too

He hasn't and that IMO is a major part of the problem, and a reason why I would give him another season.
He was NOT fit for pre-season, and that is from someone who plays alongside him.

You would say dead wood where as I would say a work in progress, but either way I suppose from a playing side of things he's not really keeping anyone out of the team is he, perhaps someone such as Veivers or Flanagan may have got a game but that's very much debatable. As from a business point of few, most of us are under the impression he's on a low wage so apart from taking that off him and splitting it amongst the others, I think it's very unlikely that it would be enough to bring in another player. I would ask you what harm is there in persevering with him, and if it doesn't work then so be it, but if it does we have the potential to have a very useful player on are hands

If he wasn't fit for pre-season he has had six months of this season to get fit - and he seems 'fit' when he's scoring at will for the reserves. Let's stop making excuses for the lad.

Has any rugby player ever had this long to prove their fitness once playing? I can't remember any.
He's been playing and training since the start of the year and he's still not fit?

| He's never looked interested at any club in his senior career, not sure why people expect him to be steaming into matches now.
He hasn't the stomach for top level RL, and he won't change. To be frank, he lacks balls.

Is that true? When I suggested the same on this board last year I was laughed out of the house as being a bitter opposition fan and told Pryce was fully fit and couldn't play because of the salary cap.
One thing that Pryce illustartes is the difference between being a star at reserve team level and making an impact at Super League level. Pryce is platung stand-off for your "all conquering reserves" and scoring for fun yet looking a mile off the required standard for Super League.
Why his contract was recently extended is a complete and utter mystery.

| I think Wigan made the right choice in giving him another year.
Gives him a full off season to get fit, and with a new coach in charge from next year, everybody deserves a fresh start in my opinion.

Agreed. But the point I'm making is that the other chap - it wasn't necessarily PY, though I think it was - was professing some inner knowledge regarding Pryce's injury and/or his deal with Wigan, and claiming that it was a complete non-starter. There also an implication that all us Wigan idiots were being dim denying it and would soon learn the truth.
A few weeks later, Pryce made his first appearance against Leigh, and has appeared on and off ever since.

| When he has played in the centre he has shown signs of life and ability. He has also looked very unfit. We will need a replacement for Carmont in 2011, retaining Pryce ensures we are in a position to promote from within if he proves himslef.
A 1 year deal makes sense for me, if he does not step up he has to go at the end of his new deal.

You have hit the nail on the head here Cruncher!!
A few posters on here said we shouldn’t sign him cause he was rubbish then they said ‘Pryce is finished and will never play for Wigan trust me’ and now they say he’s got no future.
Maybe some people just have a pre decided grudge against the guy?
