Not sure why we're talking about signing younger 7's from other clubs. For me it's either sign an established top class 7. Or just try Sam and are we forgetting Shorrocks?

It's nothing to do with age it's everything to do with ability. We need a 7 who can kick far better than we do at the minute. I'm not sure moving ST to 7 addresses our kicking problems.

I think everyone think the world of Clubb but it's not the first time he's not not been at his best in a final. There's a few Wigan players who've been guilty of letting Finals pass them by to be fair.

You'd have to question why he started tbh. His form has been very good off the bench then all of a sudden he's thrown in to start.

On the Leeds board someone has posted that Garbutt has been asked to leave. Might not be true but if it is I would definitely take him, he'd add some great size to our pack, strong avg. gain, low errors, good tackle % and is hard as nails.

Rumours were around FPN may leave so we'd need at least one prop. Whether he does or not Joel could well find himself in the front row next year.
That would give us Flower, Clubb, TT, Joel, Sutton & Bretherton. There should be enough size and power for us there.

That is zero improvement. I really don't see Joel as a prop forward, if anything, other than 2nd row he should be covering SOL at 13.

Our props are clearly playing to instructions. IMO they are all good players and capeable of al lot more meters than the current stats show. Wane's obsession with them to preserve energy for dominating the rook is the reason their stats.

Joel has played two games at prop this season and they were his best two performances since he came back to the club so I wouldn't rule him out of that position just yet.

Collectively we need more from a few guys in that front row. There's to much inconsistency and too much going through the motions going on (to then try and peak in big games). All the props this year have had some really good games but they've always backed that up with a half interested effort (or five).

I really rate Sutton and I feel his inconsistency can be excused due to his age (and in fairness he's been more consistent then the others) but the likes of Tautai, FPN, Flower (before injury) and even Clubb have blown hot and cold. Our props deserve to be under the spotlight because they get as much protection as any props in the game. They have a teamwhos outside backs are asked to do more work then anyone else's in the league and they aren't asked to play for long minutes. In return they should be running riot in the time they're on the field.

Yes. People have been complaining about the 'old boys club' and calling for new assistanct coaching staff to bring fresh attacking ideas in and let Wane focus on motivation and defence. As I say, maybe not a good fit for Wigan, I've no idea whether he is a good coach or not.

It was in a gossip column in Oz.

I'll be gutted to see that happen simply because we know what a great coach he is.

His stock seems to have taken a bit of a battering with Souths not doing much these past couple of years but it's such a tough and even comp that I don't write much in to that.

If he comes to Wire they'll win things, it's as simple as that. Let's just hope it's a rumour.

Souths have lost ground because they haven’t evolved their style of play. It would be interesting to see Wire try to play such a structured style of play.

Kevin Walters has ruled himself out of the Titans job. Some quiet whispers here in Oz that Michael Maguire might go there.

Madge has nothing to prove by coming over here to coach Warrington, he went back to Oz after cutting his teeth here to coach in the NRL and if he were to leave Souths it will only be to coach another NRL team. Nothing Warrington (nor us for that matter) would match his aspirations as a coach. Be a backwards step in my opinion.

He went to Souths and gave them their first title win in decades, maybe he's up for the challenge to do it again with Wire.

Liam Sutcliffe has signed a new 4 year deal at Leeds so that's that rumour put to bed.

On a side note - it seems unusual for this site that any potential new signings aren't being named by posters on here at this stage of the season.
