They did the same thing at Warrington over the last two years. Why could they not hold the homecoming parade on Bank holiday Monday, as lots of fans go down for the weekend. Every fan who travelled down there deserves the opportunity to see them come home.

Is it not because the players come back on the Sunday morning and can then have the Monday off?

Cant really remember what else was said just lots of picture opportunitys and celebrating.

I was on the A49 from 2pm, They turned up at 435pm and they didnt hang around. Hope the stadium show was a bit better for you lot

I liked the interview with Ian Lenagan while we were waiting for the team coach to arrive. He said that we can now stop thinking about the past and concentrate on the future.

Its not a suprise they were a little bit late, we was giving them a big send off when they came out of the Hilton hotel on Park lane at 11am this morning.
All the players and Madge in good spirits, and taking photo's with all the fans and with the cup.

Yeah, he said no need to look to the past as we now have the future, and as much a Maguire has turned us around i feel IL has been just as if not more important to our rise, only MM has made it happen quicker than we all thought......happy days....

I really enjoyed it. I took some photos at the DW which I will put up on the net in the next few days.

If I'm being honest, I was a little disappointed.

Yes, the interviews were good... but there was no "fun" like the old days, where they used to balance on the goal posts and sing songs in their drunken state!!

I also thought they should do a lap of the pitch with the trophy rather than walk over to the East Stand to sign autographs etc and then AGES later, walk over to the West stand.

So yes, I was a bit diappointed. However the important thing is the cup is back in Wigan. Let's hope we smash Wire on Sunday now!

(PS: thought Lima and Tommy were very funny!!)

I thought it was rubbish. It was miles better in 2002 when they were singing and dancing outside the Town Hall, you couldn't move it was that packed with people climbing up lamp posts etc to see. I got bored of waiting for them to come over to the West from the East so left. I'm also surprised so few fans turned up for it.

Lima and Tommy were hilarious.

I was crying with laughter when Tommy started chasing one of the children round the pitch.

Thought the day as a whole was awful though. Most of the players went over to the East stand and then back down the tunnel. We left and then they came back out

Granted it wasn't as much of a party atmosphere as the older days = especially the sing songs and post balancing and stripping etc at Central park but she's home and that ment a hell of a lot.

We had more there than latics have for a game so didn't do too bad!!!
