| Who put that England v Exiles promo together? My guess would be some first year film students at Wigan College.

| Davis and Hughes are with Barrow.
And Davis has just destroyed Widnes' #7.

| Poor and unecessary hit from Davis. Similar to Kavanagh's on Rooney (?) first half.

Hopefully Crosby and Mossop can both be Wigan and England prop forwards in the next 3 years! That would be awesome!
Agree on Ben Davies - Think he will go after this year...not good enough. Jurys still out on the last tomkins too....would love him to make it but not sure if he'll be good enough.

He seems to be straight out of the Coley mould of player in that for all accounts his a gent off the pitch but hurts players on it.
He should have made his debut vs Quins IMO.

| Great seeing so many of our younger lads playing well.
Logan's had a cracking couple of runs too.

| Think the Jury is still out on Tomkins Jr. Not sure if his name was not Tomkins he would get quite as much attention. Good little player though and only at the start of his career so who knows.
Mellor looks to be coming along very nicely indeed. Perfect player at this rate to replace Finch long term Deacon short.

| Watching the Wigan lads has put a smile on my face. Agree with the comments about Tomkins and Mellor.
Even though Barrow have been quite poor I enjoyed the game toneet.

| I think Mellor would have been man of the match if it hadn't been for that 16 year old making his debut. There are so many good things about his game. His kicking game seems very good, both long distance and kicking close to the line. The cross field kick towards Penny for Tyrer's try was well weighted and would have been perfect for Pat Richards. He looks dangerous when he gets the ball and the final try showed he has a good step, he threw a clever dummy and has the awareness to know when to pass. Also those quick flat passes looked useful; imagine Hoffman running onto one of those. He even threw one forward just to prove he knows what to do when he gets into Super League. His defence looked strong too which is important.
All in all the Wigan lads were impressive. Logan is a good hard worker and whilst his distribution can be wayward sometimes he does have very good vision which is important for a hooker. Crosby was power in attack and defence. Ben Davies was very poor in the first half but improved in the second.

Also thought Jack Hughes did a lot of good defensive work as well and didn't seem out of place. On Joe Mellor, very impressed with his kicking. It looks so effortless but so effective.

| Crosby and Mellor were the two stand out's for me. Although Dom didn't get much time on the ball, the runs he did have were very good. Twisting and spinning in the tackle, and always pumping those legs.
Joe looks so dangerous with ball in hand, yet maybe ships it on a little to much rather than taking the line on. That may be down to him suffering that serious injury and therefore he wishes to take it easy and not overstretch himself. Still brilliant signs from him, and all the players on DR to be fair. They just need to continue playing at that higher level, as opposed to reserve rugby.
Second half I though Davies was very good. I like the fact that he's aggressive both with and with out the ball.

It isn't. I have played against Joe and have seen him in action many many times, his game is similar to Tomkins but not the same. In Mellor you have a very very exciting prospect on your hands, i'd hazard a guess that minus his injury last year he could be a regular in your team this year. Very good player.

| Let's not write Davies off just yet.
He's still got a long way to go but he's still a baby as far as props go.
A decent set of props including back up ones are worth their weight in gold.
Let's not cast him aside just yet although he does need SL experience.

Needs to lay off the pies and pints by the look of him, looks in poor condition but the talent is there and the second half he went pretty well.

He would easily fill the boots of deacon for you lot, and could possibly send finch packing earlier than expected.

Finch is getting better every week, so he would have to be good. Mellor looked good last night, let him develop and I think we have a future international on our hands! No pressure though...
