His heart just doesn't look to be in it and he simply isn't the player he once was. He looks way too heavy and therefore has lost that pace he used to have off the mark and isn't making any sort of impact.

I'd guess when you guys have all your players back he'll struggle to hold down a spot in the 17.

You should've mustered all your wit and told her "f*ck off". That would've been 'Kind of amusing' in much the same way.

I'm sick of people getting offended by none issues like swearing. It was a joke chant by the Wigan fans and if it was the other way around and it had been about Wigan I simply would have laughed at it.

The pc brigade really are my pet hate. Get a grip ffs it’s only a word.

Nothing wrong with a quick clap for him when he's behind the goals but anymore than that is a little much really. We have our own players. I still can't believe the St George team were clapped onto the pitch at the world club challenge game as well. Our fans seem to do it for just about every team.

As for Brian Noble last season..... he wasn't our coach anymore, anything other than a quick cheer is too much really. After what Brian Noble got at crusaders away last year, Maguire should get a red carpet and loads od trumpets while we all get on our knees and kiss his feet one by one... if he ever returns to our place when he eventually leaves.

FWIW I did laugh, the first time. I raised a tired grin the second. By the umpteenth rendition I was hoping the drum you can't sing without would burst.

I found myself getting ed off with the chanting all night. Especially the feka one. He's been and gone. If he kept himself in shape in the first place madge might have stuck with him and gave him a new deal. And salfords a hole chant just reminds me of football chanting. Unfortunately that's the way it's going!!

As for swearing being a "non-issue" - if it offends someone then it autmatically becomes an issue for them. There is no way around this and the best course of action is to avoid such language if there is the possibility that it may cause offence.
There are several words that are only words, as you put it. For instance, if I was to say to you "get a grip, you stupid c*nt" then you may not be at all upset by this statement of the obvious. However, if I was to say it to my aunt (not that I would, on the grounds that she shows far more intelligence, despite suffering from alzheimers) then she would take great offence and cut me off in her will. And that is without going down the inherently dangerous path of racist or homophobic words that are, inevitably, just words. I suggest you have another little think about it.

Never been a fan of the Wigan accent, but coming out her, well it doesn't sound that bad.
