Could be, but Wire are on a high at present and don't feel the need to hide behind someone else's colours.

I still think he's one of t'other lot. Hiding and trying to be sneaky comes second nature to them. As does failing.

I dont think we will finish the season unbeaten.

If we finish in the playoffs, have a decent cup run, compete if not beat Saints and generally play consistantly well and watch a fitter, more aggressive, hungry 'TEAM' then I will be happy.

That's strange, I can't remember the last time I DIDN'T want to go to a Wigan RL match at home.............

Worked till 8.30am Saturday morning. Back in at 8.30pm.
£15 ticket to watch players I can watch for £3 on a Tuesday in the freezing cold and a competition we'll never win.
Had it been a league game like next week, then i'd be there.

Not having a go, but I just couldn't understand why you WOULDN'T want to go to a match, especially at home as I never miss home cup games (by choice).

Always going to be a crap game. Had I not been working I probably would have.

A large number of the players will be those that play for the reserves on a Tuesday which is £3.

Took the Brother in law to Old Trafford last Wednesday ...... he didn't enjoy it one bit - me , I loved it and I'm not a Man U fan, but it was just priceless..... 5-0



Pre-match, in the bar he had the temerity to crow about the tics attendancies v RL crowds - I did remind him about a Tuesday night cup game one December when they got about 6000 on, which he dismissed as irrelevant.

Anyway he pops round ours this afternoon about 4-ish for me to look at his laptop, and I'm thinking "shouldn't you be somewhere else?" - his response, can't be d, not paying £15 quid to watch the A-Team, etc . Fickle lot these tics fans.


Mind you, it looked like only two taxi loads of them turned up on Wednesday at Old Trafford - it normally takes me at least 50 mins to get off E2 car park as they hold us back until the away fans coaches have departed - I think the tics fans left by dragster, as we were on the road inside 10 minutes for a change.

Michael Maguire is the best thing that has happened to the club in years and is the most important signing that we have made in at least a decade, more so than any player. He has transformed the club both on the pitch and off the field with his training methods, ethos and discipline. As a team we are much fitter, stronger and faster than last year and almost every player has improved. We also play a much better, more attractive brand of rugby which is a refreshing change after some of the boring dross that we had to put up with last year. It really is hard to believe how he has achieved so much in such a short space of time with basically the same players and he deserves full credit for that.

I've been really impressed this season that's why Saturday was so hard to take.
However, next year is going to be brilliant. It's good to have something to look forward to whilst still enjoying the present.

Same reason as to why Quins and Bradford were hard to take as well. Under Noble they would just be another defeat.

I would love us to win the league this year so we can kick on for next year. I can't see anything but an improvement for next season! 2 or 3 signings along with the hard work put in this season will see us go into next season with huge expectation.

I think we are seeing a new big four develop with Wire replacing Bradford. I really do hope he can be a big 6 though with Bradford and one other club getting in on the act.

The last few seasons have been poor but with so many teams now looking to improve after a year or two of being poor, super league looks like it could be on the up again.

The play-offs should be quite sensational this year if the last four is Wigan, Leeds, Wire and Saints... who would you choose?

Maguire has worked wonders at Wigan and I hope to see other clubs making the same improvements.

To be honest, you might still have been right.

TBH Conroy, 2011 *IS* the time to start judging the team properly.

However - If this is what we can do in a "transition" period, what can we expect next year in a consolidation year?

Like someone else said - I'm already excited for next season, whilst thoroughly enjoying this year.
