As i said it was obviously the plan that being 8-0 up we were going to throw Feka and Fielden on and really take the game to them since the intial sting looked to of been knocked out of them at that point. I very much doubt Noble expected F and F to be so damn terrible.

Well lets see Fielden's been crap for about 2 years so he should have seen that one coming, and Feka well what can you say, he's got a hell of a lot of problems that need fixing.

Really makes me laugh all this Anti-Noble stuff. If he had picked Fielden to start and we had lost you would be on his back for starting with Fielden! The man cannot win no matter what he does. He has picked the players that have done so well for the past month or two end of chat.

a) Fielden has given f*ck all go forward for quite a while now, certainly if we're talking of 'impact'

b) Why bring Feka on when we're about to kick off to Warrington? In the 13 minutes he was on, I think we had one real set of six. Feka was f*cked by the time he finally got the ball.

Agree with the OP; the moment these subs were made, we lost the match.

I have never rated paleosina, today he and he alone gifted wire the match. I am sure he is a nice bloke, but he should not be allowed to play for wigan again, the other players must groan when they see him coming on.

I must admit although I really like the guy he's getting worse, his fitness is getting worse and thats contributing to his overall poor play.

To be honest jonh, Fecka and Fielden really need to be shown the door, the amount of cap they must be taking up, (especially Fielden), could free up enough £ for 3 - 4 forwards that will be willing to put 100% in for the club in more than 10 minute bursts. Until you sort your pack out, you are always going to struggle.

Feka was one of the main reasons we lost today, TonySmiths game plan was very good, as soon as Feka came on they ran at him time and time again, he is fat and slow getting into the marker position and they ran round him making easy yards. they had scored three tries on the bounce before Feka got a run by which time he was knackered and taken off after only spending 10 mins on the pitch. that cost us the game and paul prescotts inability not to have a knockonathon every game

Since we have Paleaaesina until the end of next year at least, the obvious solution is to get in a fitness coach/conditioner who actually knows what he is doing.

A proper nutritionist also wouldn't go a miss.

From there it's down to Feka to want to do it.

No sherlock! The problem is though there is no saying had we not made the changes we would of won which makes Jonh post a bit of an easy stab at Noble which he loves so much.

You can't blame Prescott. The damage had already been done by then. Wire took the foot off the gas and the team gave us false hope. How many times has that happened over the past few months???

Is your fitness coach/conditioner by chance an ex-wire employee? If so, this is exactly the same problem we suffered from when he was at our place.

I can see what your trying to say but to me it seems like the same old Wigan fans. When we lose blame the coach.

The problem here is the moment Feka and Fielden came on i would place a bet that almost every Wigan fan expected them to take the game to Warrington and build on the foundations that Prescott and Coley had laid. I bet not many Wigan fans disagreed with Nobles substitutions at the time they happened. It was not Nobles fault that both F+F were both awful yet it is so easy to sit here now and say its all Nobles fault for making the wrong substitutions.

RJH Feka and Fielden should not have been on the field at that stage, obviously they have to come on but only when Prescott and Coley showed signs of dropping off the pace, which they did not. The momentum was fully with us and Morley and co were coming off second best, why change it because the clock says we should, let them continue and introduce the bench when needed not when the stop watch says you should.

Not really. Fielden hasn't taken the game to anyone in God knows how long, and as I've said, it was utter stupidity to bring Feka on when we're about to kick off to the opposition other wise there's a chance, as was the case today, that he'd be knackered by the time we finally saw any of the ball.

Now it's not Noble's fault that Feka is in the awful state of fitness (or rather lack of it) he is but it's up to Noble to give him the best chance of being effective as possible, and today Noble did not do that.



I disagreed with the substitutions at the time for the above reasons, plus that fact neither Prescott nor Coley looked to be struggling at the time.

But again this is with hindsight, the same as Leeds dropped right off against us when they took buderus off the field.

In both cases, at the time the coach thought they were doing the right thing.

Bad tactics by Noble today.

O'Loughlin and Bailey were clearly not match fit and the deciison to bring on Feka and Fielden at the same time was barmy.

But our point is that the coach should know better, seeing as half the fans do.
