He's a player that's not been under the radar in my opinion and he has responded really well to it.

I remember saying to my mate that he was fizzing some excellent passes out to Smith and Tommy.

Two try saving tackles in the same set before half time. Although the one against Dobbo will be remembered I preferred the first one where he dived at the player who had broke clean through to wrap his legs up.

The kids certainly got an engine in him!

Distribution and general passing was difficult for all the player tonight because of the conditions.

McIlorum, O'Louglin and Fielden were stand out players for Wigan tonight IMO.

Great game under the conditions, but we need to learn how to win these close games.

His distribution was fine in my opinion, certainly no worse than that fat waster Pig.

Mcillorum's distribution has improved a lot. Last season he could not pass off the deck to save his life.

I can't say I have noticed this being a problem this season and looks to improved this aspect of his game which does him a lot of credit.

His distribution in the second stint tonight was awful but in the conditions it's hard to judge. His general play and in particular his defence is really enjoyable to watch however.

He puts his body on the line and puts everything into attack and defence.

What's great it that he has recently developed alot of confidence and he has started to lead from the front, make decisions around the ruck and take on the defence effectively. If he continues this form then he's not far from being the complete hooker.

Agreed, for all the big hits he was putting in, his passing from dummy half on several occasions where awful. We knocked on 3 times during the game from passes around the ankles that he gave out from dummy half.

The most one eyed post i have ever seen. Your clearly was not paying much attention to the game. His defensive effort was excellent.

To be fair though, a lot of that was due to the conditions. Even the great Piggy threw a couple of shockers.

yes he played well but his distribution was far too slow and when we were pressing for a try, his slow passes gave the defence time to push up.

When we had that spell on their line in the second half McIlorum was on the filed.

Would we have had a better chance at that point with Riddell on, giving that his distribution is generally better than Mickey Macs.

The loss of Feka and Hock late on, didn't help us either in that they are both players who can "bust" defences.

The plain truth, which you can't seem to see, is that Riddell is fat, unfit and not worthy of a place in Wigan's 1st 17.

The fact that you bigged him up so much at the start of the season makes it difficult for you to back off now, so your pathetic attempts to protect him are understandable.

However, what do I know, I mean you've watched more reserve games than me so you know everything.
