| John Morris was sacked by Cronulla a few weeks and is available now. I thought Cronulla were making good progress under him and his sacking came as a surprise to most people. I’d certainly be quite happy if we were able to bring in someone like him. A completely new direction and someone with fresh ideas would be my preference.

Shane Flanagan would be a shout if we went the way of bringing in a totally new guy but we wouldn’t do it properly. I don’t think the finance is there to do it properly and that would be to let him asses his coaching team and fitness/physio department and to see who stays or goes and who comes in. A totally new man should also ideally be able to look at his squad and discuss retentions and the type of signings he needs to play how he wants to play. We simply wouldn’t do any of that, so I think Wane is the only man I’d have full faith in, although I’d want him as head coach and not in a part time role just signing players and doing bits and bobs with different age groups.

| I'd be very happy with Morris or Flanagan, but can't see either coming to the UK.

| I’ve said it before on here and I’m sorry if I’m repetitive but I can’t get away from how important the next couple of months are for the club. I’ve always had faith that IL & KR make their decisions with the best interests of the club at heart and if we get our recruitment right it could set us up for years to come.
Get it wrong and our demise will just get worse.
I get very frustrated when people say we might not have the financial power to strengthen properly, when we’ve got a billionaire on the board. I just can’t see why he would invest and be welcomed by the chairman if he wasn’t willing to spend some money.
Flannagan or Morris with some decent financial support is my hope but I suspect the reality will be Wane and a couple of championship players.

The Club are on good terms with Flannagan.

| Two things I noticed on Friday, Lockers was greeting every player, at the tunnel, when they left the field, no Lam. IFL did not look very well, I think the lockdowns have affected him - I hope he bounces back.

Rovers website saying they've had one more positive result, doesn't name the player so don't know if he was in Friday's squad, we're probably going to have an anxious few days if that player did play against us.

| Can see the game being called off if that’s the case, we’re already a few players down because of the England game. We won’t be able to field a 17

| Surely the England game will be called off before that happens? Doesn’t make sense to bring players across multiple clubs together when there are so many cases.

| Our starting props made 30 metres each from 4 carries and 3 carries respectively. That is absolutely shocking and needs to be addressed immediately. Either Lam is actively telling them not to run the ball in or they need to be fined for being the laziest props in rugby league

That's why Singleton only made a cameo appearance in the second half and Bullock didn't return at all.

| Singleton and Bullock are garbage. Crazy that they are our senior props.
Why did we let Jack Wells go??
I would’ve also signed Ikahihifo in the off season but he went to Salford.

Good question about Wells. Against Huddersfield he made 159 metres from 18 carries and 34 tackles as a starting prop. The only prop to come close to that for us in the last couple of years is Havard in some of his outstanding games last year.

I specifically watched Bullock whilst he was on the field. His metres after contact were dismal. He just comes to a full stop. I have championed him in the past and he seemed like he was coming to in the second half of last season but he’s now back to his earlier poor form. With his height and physique, he could have it all but he’s now had long enough to turn things round. It’s just not there. God knows what Warrington think they can do with him.

| I've said this before but we should try to get Chris Hill for a one or maybe two year contract. He was the best prop by a long way in Thursdays Saints v Wire game. He's a Wigan lad and could have a similar impact that Paul Deacon did.

If suddenly Bullock starts to make massive yards next season then it would show that its a Wigan coached tactic. We've been seeing it for years to be honest. Remember Gabe Hamlin getting a rollocking for making too many metres after contact rather than going down and playing the ball quickly.
Awful tactic.

Unfortunately there are going to be a few games off this week, at various levels of the game.

| I’d be quite happy if ours was called off this week too! A game without Hastings, Bateman, Farrell, Field, French and Hardaker, plus possibly Manfredi isn’t appealing at the moment!!

It does get a bit farcical when teams are advantaged by postponements. Saints will be over the moon - they avoid playing an in-form team on a weekend where many of their star players are playing in the 'international'.

He headbutted someone apparently?
Why can't he play that aggressively when he has the ball? Instead, all he can muster is 3 carries.

Last time I saw Sutty at Canberra he managed that in a set of six.
