I never miss a game, I don't particularly care where I sit. If you're THAT bothered about getting the best seat. Buy it in advance, and sell it on if Wigan don't reach the final. Simple.

Yeah I dont get it all , Warrington is on the west coach main line and would have been a better venue. Leigh is an odd choice

| Its not just the cost of the semi that is the issue, Im taking the kids tomorrow (terracing - so £35, adult and 2 kids). Not bad.
Now, should we win tomorrow then no doubt the final tickets will be on sale to season ticket holders almost immediately from the ground (not checked but it wouldnt suprise me if they are on sale from Sunday/Monday).
As it's a full day the missus will want to come, so all in all you're talking over £100 for four final tickets.
Now, ive factored this in and budgeted for it, but theres families out there who are feeling the strain. Not to mention we are still in week one if the six weeks school holidays and may have spent surplus cash on holiday spends...etc!

| This weekend could be RL's most embarrassing yet, if the atmosphere and attendances come across very poor on national TV.
Discount tickets might of been the way to go just to fill the stadiums, the warning signs have bee there!

| I have been told that around 7000 tickets have been sold in total. If this is the case, it is really really worrying.
LSV holds 12700, and I think thats the overall purpose of playing it there (the likelyhood that wigan take 10k)
Because its London, 7k seems the best bet unfortunately !

| LSV Capacity is 11000 at the moment, think if tickets were priced at £12 rather than £18 YOU would have sold it out, London are a joke either way.

| Looking at the stats on the Wigan site for today and the lowest ever attendance for a semi final is 5,500 in a game between Batley and Warrington at Huddersfield over a 100 years ago.
We'll get some stick if we break that!

| Quote ="stillinthepast"The headline of this post is Semi tickets sales embarrassing???.
Let me add the following headline Wigan RLFC and the RL embarrassing.
I live in Atherton which is 3 miles from Leigh so I thought why not go down to Leigh instead of going to Wigan for a ticket.
Last Friday morning (26th July) I went down to the Leigh ticket office enquiring about a ticket and was informed that the person who could help me was in a meeting, I was advised to phone Wigan.
On Saturday morning I phoned Leigh and was told that as Leigh was only hosting the match all tickets for the match had to come from either Wigan, London or RL headquarters and that Leigh wasn't on the system to sell tickets.
The same day I sent an email to Wigan and the RL pointing out how stupid it was if supporters local to the stadium either being Wigan supporters, Leigh supporters or neutrals could not get a ticket from the venue.
I put this on the Leigh Forum and I admit a Leigh supporter friend of mine said he could get me a ticket, he even asked me which stand I wanted, I thanked him and declined is offer saying I would see what the outcome of my emails to Wigan and the RL would be.
On Wednesday this week after getting no answer off anyone I phoned Leigh and asked if the ticket problem had been resolved and lo and behold I was told that Leigh had been given a batch of tickets.
I jumped in the car and went down to Leigh and was told that the tickets had arrived out of the blue at 11.00am (Wednesday the 24th July). I was asked did I want behind the sticks or on the side, I said West stand.
I was told the only tickets available in the West stand was block B, so I bought one.
This afternoon I have been on the London board and they have a map of the seating on and guess what Block B according to the London board is part of the London allocation ( not that I am bothered).
And to cap off this tale I have had no reply to my emails to Wigan or the RL, PAR FOR THE COURSE.'"
Weird RFL protocol !!!
I am A Leigh fan, who lives in the town. Last week went to the LSV to buy tickets for the World Cup game at the ground (Tonga v Cook Islands). Only to be told they don't have the actual tickets, and to do it online....eh ???
With a £2.50 postage charge, not much I know, but surely the actual VENUE should have loads of tickets, like for today's game for instance......one 'confused' LOBBY GOBBLER.

there is still a booking/handling charge of £2.50 if you pick the tickets up in person from any box office!! which I find ludicrous, cant understand the RFL's protocols or pricing policy at the moment

| Anyone with half a brain could see this coming. The fans don't give a toss about anything but the final. It should never have been played anywhere near Wigan or the North West for that matter. No wonder the RFL are a laughing stock...

| 6274 for a Semi Final, shocking and had Huddersfield being involved its all they would have been harping on about, seemed to be hushed up a little though and not much mention of it, seems like if its not Huddersfield it's not a problem, however it appears its much more widespread than just the Giants.

| It's now the Carling Cup of Rugby League. Unless there is a 'local derby' in earlier rounds, it's only the final that matters.
About the game today, Sean O'Loughlin was immense for you guys today, I know it was 70-0, but what a player.

Giants v London in a semi would have had nowhere near 6,274 on.
For us it's disappointing. For Huddersfield it's standard.
