If we see a full Wire side then I think they'll edge it by a try or two. If TS decides to rest a few players who may have niggles (which he may do. Rather than aggravate them in a really tough encounter he might let them rest up) then we'll win the game by 3 or 4 tries.

Its always tough against Wire.

It may not mean a lot come play off time, but it means a lot to our fans - so lets hope the boys turn up and deliver a great result after last years battering we took at the HJ (granted we was all still drunk from Wembley)

With a 100% fit Richards I'd say we would edge it because of his goal kicking without him I really don't know but I do know it's gonna be 1 hell of a game.

According to the Dire forum, if we play Sam on Saturday it means its because we are obsessed with Warrington and its our cup final.

Our first choice 5, 6, 7 and 11 (Pat, Finch, Tommy, Hansen) are all out along with Tuson and Fielden... and then we have players coming back from injury for this game.

If wire came to our place for a game like this without Monaghan, Briers, Myler, Waterhouse, Morley and McCarthy... I think we would be pretty confident, especially if they had to throw in a youngster at half-back for only his second game.

If wire perform we just won't be able to handle them. They will close us down in attack with both Finch and Tommy out IMO. We won't be able to get the ball out quick enough to score on the edges. Our only chance of a win is our pack having their best game of the year, but with the form of Hill, Carvell and Westwood I really can't see us rolling over them.

I think Finch will play,didn't you do the same with O'Loughlin last week? I hope he dosn't play anyway but wouldn't be surprised to see him.

Dont be silly. There isnt a single wolfs player that wouldnt get in our side. Their academy just keeps rolling them out. Hodgson, The Monaghans, Atkins, Briers, Myler, Morley, Higham, Carvell, Westwood, Waterhouse, Hill, Ratchford. I just wish we could produce players like that instead of constantly having to rely on Australians and the hope that the little clubs can produce good players that we can wave wads of cash at and steal. I aspire to be the Wolfs inevery way right down to extending our ground so there are more empty seats on match day thsn normal unless its our cup finals v Saints and the wolfs. Wigan just cant live up to the hype of the wolfs.

You haven't beaten us in the Super league since Feb 2010, when flared trousers were in !

I couldn't care less about head to heads with wire when we have won a league leaders shield, Super League and the Challenge cup since then.

Before 2009 the head to head games were something to brag about but I think both clubs should be above that now. We have been the best teams by a distance for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons.

This season 22 Wigan players have played super league having coming through the Wigan system. Making shrewd signings in the current climate will not last long, it isn't sustainable.

The wire starting 13 on saturday will probably have 1 player who was brought through by them (Riley), with just two more on the bench in Harrison and Wood.
