tbh, i got a little wound up with sam yesterday at the game. although he is a great player, i can see the diving that other fans talk about and if im completely honest they are correct however over exaggerate. i wish he would stop this right now because i seriously cannot stand it.

That's a guideline, there's nothing to say the RFL can't and won't step outside of them.

yes, one of the main objectives of a rugby player is to hurt his opponent with bigs hits and strong running, not trying to stick your elbow into someones face at high impact.

when you punch a man, that man has the opportunity to hit you back, its called a one on one mate, not saying its right and deserves punishing if found guilty, you cant seriously compare that to the act of thuggery that is attempting to elbow someone in the face

Joel. Two men going toe to toe is part if the game, raising an elbow into someone face when they are simply trying to make a tackle is cowardly.

FYI joel didnt elbow yeaman in the face. How can it not be compared? Yeamans punching was definatley a deliberate attempt to hurt another player whereas theres no proof whatsoever that joel tried to injure yeaman.

I think that's a bit naive to be honest. As soon as that ball was handed to Joel I knew exactly what he was going to do. I'd say Joel deserves a game longer than Yeaman. I wouldn't ban Sam as he definitely wasn't the only one who went in throwing punches.

Bearing in mind Joel had no chance to actually go 'toe to toe' as about 10 players jumped in to break it up. He was sucker punched by Yeaman. I know which offence SHOULD carry the longer ban.

Yeamans punching is a deliberate attempt to hurt a player. Nobody bar joel knows if he tried knocking yeamans head off. Even if he did its no worse than what yeaman started.

Yeaman might have thrown the first punch but Joel gave as good as he got, you make it sound like everyone was holding him back leaving Yeamo to land punches as he pleased.

Joel was moving away and yeaman cracked him 3 times before he had chance to reply. Even then it wasnt long before players steamed in to break it up.

I always wondered why I liked KR more than FC and the aftermath from this game has finally confirmed it. KR's coach and fans are dignified when they lose!! Then again by the looks so far this season FC are going to have a lot of practise at trying to fix their attitude to losing.
