The spark to this argument was the rather ridiculous assertion - made initially by Slaphead and now by Peacock - that McGuire's illegal act wasn't illegal at all and that McGuire is somehow the victim.

To try and make the big story in this the fact that two frustrated Wigan players called McGuire a cheating little get is a schoolyard tactic that has fooled no-one. To then try and justify what McGuire did with a nonsensical lie that he only grabbed Carmont to try and balance himself suggests that you guys must think the rest of us have as much between our ears as Peacock does.

Awesome. In that case - if/when one of the Wigan players hit a leeds half back with a blatantly high swinging arm to the head, you won't come on here and complain or demand that he should have been sent off. Jamie Peacock's fatuous claims disappoint me. I always held him in high regard for his performances on the rugby field, but he's gone down in my estimation after that. To suggest that Thomas Leuluai/Mark Riddell delayed Danny McGuire getting treatment is completely ludicrous and I'm afraid he looks very silly for it.

I love the fact he calls our players cowards, when you consider that he plays alongside Ryan Bailey.

I'm afraid this serves as an awful attempt at mind games and IMO puts unnecessary pressure on his team mates.

Comments such as this: "I'm sure our lads will remember it going into Saturday's game." Suggests to me that the Leeds players will be inclined to dish a bit out. I for one, truly hope they come out and take our heads off. I hope JP and the twitter brigade are frothing at their mouths to give it to "the cowards". Anything that increases their chances of seeing a yellow/red card, give away cheap field position and detract from the game plan. As previously mentioned, it's an awful attempt at mind games.

I hate to disappoint the tirade of Leeds supporters on here, but big Jamie's frivolous comments wont bother our lads one bit, as proven many times this season. He's not the first Yarkshire player/coach to come out spouting incoherent bile at our club/players/coach and I doubt he'll be the last. If this season is an accurate judgement to go by, I'm absolutely delighted that he has said this.

Anyway, as for Peacocks comments. If it helps for a raised intensity for the game on Saturday then I'm all for it. And as much as the Wigan fans think that this should be used as motivation for the game, what do you think the Rhinos will be using as motivation. Both teams have a lot of motivation after what went on in the game and the comments said by a few people in the media over the last week or so.
