| Quote ="Rogues Gallery"Both Pryce and Marsh have played well in their games for Wigan this season so I reckon they will be given first choice, dependant on injuries'"
I disagree. I think Stefan Marsh has looked a little out of his depth in the first team. I thought he was very fragile in defence and was unable to deal with the bigger players and the footwork from Paul Whatuira (IIRC) in particular. Whereas Josh Charnley has been excellent in defence for Hull KR from what we've all seen. I say that because we were all praising him after he kept Senior quiet when Hull KR beat Leeds.
Karl Pryce has never played centre for Wigan this season and it opens another can of worms completely because I don't think he's been that exciting when he has played.

Yes, but if we recall him and then decide we want him to play for KR for the remainder of the season we have to set up a new loan deal as far as I'm aware, in which case I'm not sure whether the 1 month rule applies again or whether we can just set up a new loan deal on the same terms straight away.

Not IMO. I've alluded to his issues in defence at Super League level (which you've ignored completely) which was evident against Huddersfield of all teams. Josh Charnley has been far more impressive IMO and has looked more comfortable at Super League level. Stefan played this week and scored two tries, but in a lower league to Charnley where he has been playing for the past six weeks & has been in excellent form.
I would have Stefan Marsh over Karl Pryce though.

It would be bizarre if the one month rule applied again. I confess to not being sure myself, but surely common sense applies and we can just set up the loan deal on the same terms straight away.

| You didn't notice that Cas scored two tries down Charnleys side then?
Here's how Wigan deal with the situation in reality.
When one of the loan players plays for his nominated team, a Wigan "employee" goes to watch him and does a report on his performance. This report is fed back to the player
The team he is loaned to provides a video to Wigan of the game. That video is looked at just as if it was a "Wigan" game and the player has the same analysis done on him as if he was playing for Wigan.
I trust Maguire and Wane to do the right thing by Charnley, Pryce, Goulding and Marsh, and have no doubt they will.

Common sense would suggest that should be the case, but this is the RFL. If Gleeson's out for 2 games and we can send Charnley back out on loan again straight away on the same deal then there isn't really any reason not to recall him.
It would just be a straight choice between Charnley and Marsh. One thing I would say is that Marsh seemed to have a very good game in defence the last time I saw him for Widnes (albeit at a lower level). I also listened to the Hull KR vs Cas game on the radio where the commentators did mention Charnley was looking weak in defence a couple of times.
Marsh's previous games for Wigan against Huddersfield have shown him to be have weakness in defence, but not long later Martin Gleeson made the exact same mistakes against Crusaders, so I don't think there is a clear cut choice between the two.

he will be a good winger but defense is poor for a centre and thought the same about Marsh, a lot of clubs score down his wing. Will be stronger with age but is poor in defense but very good going forward which is natural.

No, I saw him score a hat trick though. His first was a cracker. Allude me to the two incidents you are referring to where it was Charnley's fault? One Peter Fox came flying out the line and the second he was defending with a disorganised rubble after a Castleford break covering for Dobson who was in two minds.

So do I and I would back their decision completely. Charnley or no Charnley. Incidentally, who do you think they will pick?

Perhaps. Stefan Marsh might well get the spot. If his defence has tightened up at Widnes then so be it.

I never said it was Charnleys fault did I?
But they did score two tries down that side and Josh failed to make one of the tackles, but he was also let down by his inside defender.
Who do I "think" Maguire will pick?
It suppose it depends if Goulding is fit. IMO If he is struggling don't risk him.
If that's the case I'd would go with Marsh at centre and Pryce on the wing. It's worked twice this season v Hudds so why not again?

So do I. I expect Goulding & Charnley to play, assuming Goulding is fit (and it wasn't a serious enough injury for Waney to sub him, so I expect him to be OK).
